Junior doctors’ strike day three: will the health secretary turn up to talk today?

Absent: Health Secretary Steve Barclay. If he isn’t present, then he can’t put forward an argument against the strikes.

What was the most notable element in day two of the junior doctors’ strike?

Was it the lack of a Conservative government minister to explain the official position?

The absence was noticed…

Fortunately, we have Peter Stefanovic to provide context:

Let us hope the government is able to bring something more substantial to the table today.

Sunak’s tory criminal cartel, plus what is laughingly called the ‘opposition ‘ both want the NHS to fail….and all for personal greed!

I believe the Tories know they can’t win the next GE so they are doing what they can now to destroy the NHS. Losing face to the voters is not a prime concern as long as they destroy the country for the majority whilst padding their own nests for now and in the future. Such short sightedness is not uncommon against the entitled and flagrantly dishonest and most of the right wingers Tory and Labour will find jobs in big business, so where’s the harm to them? The more privatised this country is, the bigger & more numerous the job opportunities for their ilk.
It doesn’t help that the country is now beyond repair and saving unless we have a complete economic overhaul, which with Corbyn out of the picture, is never going to happen. Even Corbyn would struggle to undo what New Labour and subsequent Tories have done over the last 30 years.
We will be sitting ducks for the likes of the hegemonic empire building US/UN/WEF & WHO as “stakeholders” with little say.
