Just desserts as MP who wants to starve children in holidays receives graffiti critique

What did George “Useless” Eustice expect?

After the Tory Environment Secretary defended his government’s determination to starve poverty-stricken children during the school holidays – including Christmas – people in his Cornwall constituency have retaliated with a “Banksy”-style graffiti criticism.

The text reads:

“Georgie Porgie pudding and pie,
“Starved the kids and made them cry.
“#endchildfoodpoverty”

The artist even painted it onto a board that was then discovered attached to the front door of his constituency office:

Tories like Eustice thought members of the public have short memories and would forget that the decision to starve children at Christmas had been made by them.

Responses like this make the point clear:

They thought wrong.

Victim of its own success: Banksy-funded migrant rescue boat is itself rescued

A ship funded by Bristol street artist Banksy to rescue migrants in the Mediterranean was so successful that it had to call for help itself after it became too loaded with migrants to move.

The ship, the Louise Michel, ended up with more than 200 traumatised migrants on its deck, meaning it was unsafe to move, while it was in the see near Malta.

The Italian coastguard responded to calls for help and took 49 people, and another rescue ship, Seawatch4, arrived to help as well.

But the ship’s 10-strong crew poured scorn on the lukewarm attitude of most European countries who, they said, had been “ignoring our emergency calls for immediate assistance”.

The Italian coastguard finally responded after the crew warned Maltese and Italian authorities: “Don’t let it become a body count. Do your job. Rescue them.”

It seems the UK’s is not the only European government for whom humanitarian aid is a foreign concept.

Banksy donates funds from latest art sale to anti-arms campaigners

This Site has already reported gory Tory Michael ‘Bomber’ Fallon’s plan to sell arms to anybody, regardless of their credentials, as soon as he possibly can.

Here’s the alternative view, courtesy of Banksy.

This Writer would support Banksy’s worldview over Fallon’s, every time.

Street artist Banksy has donated £205,000 from the sale of his latest artwork to peace campaigners.

‘Civilian Drone Strike’ shows three drones bombing a child-like drawing of a house, with a shocked girl and her dog next to it.

Money from the sale of the piece was split between Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT), and human rights group Reprieve.

‘Civilian Drone Strike’ was on display at the Stop the Arms Fair art exhibition in east London, which ended yesterday (September 15).

The exhibition was being held alongside the world’s largest arms fair, the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI), to highlight the inhumanity of the arms trade.

Here’s a REAL Banksy painting about UKIP

Vox Political is indebted to a commenter (who will remain nameless) who wrote in after this blog published the modified Banksy picture commenting on UKIP.

The photograph was quickly revealed to be a Photoshopped version of ‘Lovesick’, in which hearts were issuing from the lady’s mouth. This Writer remains of the belief that the artist might not object to his work being adapted to present a satirical message.

But never mind that. Here is the real thing:

According to our source, Banksy painted this in Clacton to coincide with the Carswell defection election last year.

It is worth pointing out that, shortly after receiving this image – and in response to the previous article, this blog received the following comment from a UKIP supporter: “All the other parties insist on handing the country my ancestors fought and died for to a bunch of sponging foreigners.”

They prove Banksy’s point for him.

Banksy weighs in on UKIP

It seems Bristol’s greatest living artist has delivered a verdict on the UK Independence Party. Here it is:
