Rishi Sunak tried to tell you he introduced honesty to government. Liar!

Rishi Sunak: the lies Peter Stefanovic identifies below are only a fraction of the many falsehoods this bitterly dishonest prime minister has told the UK public.

Rishi Sunak seems to be trying to steal Boris Johnson’s crown as the most dishonest prime minister the UK has ever had.

Apparently he claimed in a TV interview that he has introduced honesty to government.

Peter Stefanovic demolishes Rishi Sunak’s PMQs lies

Rishi Sunak at PMQs: the mouth is open but he has nothing worthwhile to say [archive image].

Can you believe some people are actually gaslit by the drivel that spouts out of Rishi Sunak’s mouth during Prime Minister’s Questions?

They deny the facts of their own senses to believe that we’re all better-off – and actually “levelling up”, whatever that means. With whom?

This Writer, for one, would like to see Rishi Sunak make an earnest commitment for us all to level up with the kind of earnings and savings he and his wife make every year. That might be worth something.

As it is, his rhetoric is nothing but empty gas, that probably comes with an odour of rotting things.

I’m just glad the excellent Peter Stefanovic is around to put the facts to Sunak’s fiction because it means I don’t have to:

Sunak’s lie-a-day: he says the Tories are cutting taxes – but you’ll be paying more

Grinning idiots: Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt have falsely claimed that they are cutting the amount of tax that people will pay.

Peter is back!

The legendary Stefanovic has returned from his Christmas and New Year break to tear apart Rishi Sunak’s ridiculous claim to be cutting the amount of tax his government is taking from the people of the UK (in fact, you will pay much more).

As This Site explained here, because Sunak’s Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, has frozen the thresholds at which people start paying taxes at particular rates, and pay rises have been taking place, this means more people will pay more tax.

UK has worst child poverty among world’s richest countries. Sunak’s comment is vile

Poverty: Destitution among children has spiralled out of control due to Tory decisions to starve parents of cash. But that’s what we all voted for – right?

Here’s the headline:

A 20 per cent rise in child poverty while the Tories have been in government? But they said they were doing so well in bringing it down! Were they… fibbing?

The article states:

The relative child income poverty rate for the UK before housing costs was 20.8 per cent for 2019-21, Unicef said.

During the period from 2012-14 and 2019-21, the UK saw a 20 per cent rise in relative child income poverty rates before housing costs, the humanitarian organisation added.

The report said that during the period it focused on, UK expenditure on family cash benefits per child, as a proportion of GDP (gross domestic product) per capita, decreased from 18 per cent to 11 per cent.

It said several changes to targeted financial support had contributed to this, including the benefit cap, limiting the benefits a household earning below a set threshold can receive, and the two-child limit for child tax credits and the child element of Universal Credit, meaning families cannot claim support for more children.

A spokesperson for the Department for Work and Pensions said: “There are 400,000 fewer children and 1.7 million fewer people in absolute poverty when compared to 2010.

The DWP comment is because the UK measures poverty as a percentage of median income. Median income has plummeted (in real terms) under the Tories while costs have rocketed. The United Nations Children’s Fund may record it differently.

Rishi Sunak talked nonsense about this during Prime Minister’s Questions – and knew it. Here’s Peter Stefanovic with the facts:

The facts are an indictment against Sunak, his forerunners as prime minister, and the Tory governments we’ve had since 2010.

No wonder he’s so dishonest about them.

Liz Truss sets her sights on workers’ rights. Are you going to let her? [VIDEO]

Liz Truss: the queen of cheese who warned that Brexit will seriously harm the UK is now using it to seriously harm the people of the UK.

What liars these Tories are!

They’ve had plans to strip you of your rights – both at work and as human beings – since at least as early as 2014.

Boris Johnson promised that leaving the European Union would not be used as a means to achieve that end – but it seems Liz Truss is switching straight back to the original plan.

She’s using the EU as a scapegoat for the UK’s current economic woes – Tory “divide and rule” tactics once again – and claiming that increasing the number of hours you may legally be asked to work every week, while decreasing the number of days’ holiday you must be offered per year, will help us afford the increased cost of living.

Of course, it won’t.

You’ll get no extra money for your extra time, because Truss’s Tory donors will take any extra profits for themselves.

Oh, and Truss wants to target the trade unions, to ensure that you can’t fight this racket.

Peter Stefanovic, of the CWU, says you need to act against this now – and he’s right. Watch his video:

What are you going to do?

Will you let Truss work you into the ground to make cash for her super-rich buddies?

Or will you stand up for what should be yours by right? It’s up to you.

Lies, spin and falsehood: Boris Johnson’s New Year message

Boris Johnson: The lies keep coming.

Boris Johnson is deeply untrustworthy, as Peter Stefanovic’s takedown demonstrates.

No wonder Donald Trump won’t trust him with sensitive military information.
