Racist (?) Labour suspends Kate Osamor for correctly identifying Israel’s Gaza genocide

Suspended: Kate Osamor.

Kate Osamor MP’s membership of the Parliamentary Labour Party has been suspended because she committed the heinous crime of suggesting that the genocide in Gaza, being perpetrated by Israel, should be recognised on Holocaust Memorial Day.

Here’s the gist:

As you can tell, some have seen this as the latest instalment of Starmer Labour’s alleged ongoing attack on the Socialist Campaign Group of Labour MPs.

Buy Cruel Britannia in print here. Buy the Cruel Britannia ebook here. Or just click on the image!

Alternatively, it may be the latest instalment of Starmer Labour’s alleged ongoing attempt to stop black women representing that party:

Right-wing? Racist? And here’s the Jewish Labour Movement to support the suspension:

Let’s just remind ourselves that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague has recently confirmed that Israel is now on trial for genocide.

With the court that actually tries nations for genocide trying Israel, it is neither inappropriate nor offensive for people to voice the opinion that it is guilty.

What is inappropriate and offensive is that the Labour Party – the same Labour Party that has endorsed the Tory government’s decision to respond to the ICJ’s ruling by withdrawing funds from the United Nations agency that supports Palestinian refugees – on the basis of flimsy non-evidence from that pillar of propaganda, Israel itself – has suspended an MP for voicing it.

Here’s the only response to Suella Braverman’s US immigration speech you need

Suella Braverman: racist, sexist, homophobic. Right?

If you’re hoping for an in-depth analysis of all the Tory crowing in support of Suella Braverman’s racist, sexist and homophobic speech against immigration at a US think tank last week, I’m happy to disappoint you.

There’s really very little to say about a lot of Tories supporting an unacceptable view.

I’ve already provided my comments on the speech itself, here.

But I did want to highlight what I think is the best comment on it, which came in musical form. Here it is:

Any questions?

Met Police has lost public trust; it is sexist, racist and homophobic

Police: even in the illustration it seems the policeman is mistreating the policewoman.

The verdict is out on the Metropolitan Police – and it couldn’t be more damning.

The force is institutionally racist, sexist and homophobic – to the point where rape might as well be legal in London, according to a report, that took a year to prepare, by Baroness Casey.

Here’s the gist:

Shall we go a bit further into how the Met has failed women in particular?

Analysis by the BBC states,

This report is so ferocious in its criticism that, in the short term, it is almost certain that trust and confidence levels in the police in London – already down – will plummet further.

With forces across England and Wales, like the Met, re-vetting all their officers, more scandals will emerge.

Every misconduct hearing, every court case, is going to damage public confidence.

A generation after the Macpherson report found the Metropolitan Police to be institutionally racist, here we are again. Only worse. Sexism and homophobia are added to the list.

It asks what the solution could be. After all, the situation could hardly be said to have been different in 1972, when then newly-appointed commissioner Sir Robert Mark said he had “never experienced…blindness, arrogance and prejudice on anything like the scale accepted as routine in the Met”.

Current Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley says he needs patience to achieve the turnabout required. Baroness Casey has suggested the Met could be broken up, if things don’t approve.

The situation at the Met proves only one thing: Power corrupts.

And with Suella Braverman as the politician responsible for imposing lasting change, isn’t it more likely that the corruption in the Met will become absolute?

Starmer wins vote to make Labour ‘paler, maler and staler’

Pale, male and stale: this is the future of the Labour Party – a white man in a suit with absolutely no ideas at all.

Keir Starmer has succeeded in changing the rules on Labour Party leadership elections that makes them racist and sexist.

A vote on his proposed rule changes means that at least 20 per cent of Labour MPs will have to endorse a colleague’s candidacy to lead the party – a threshold that has previously been reached by just one female candidate, and by nobody who is not white.

If they had been applied before the 2020 leadership election, the only candidate on the ballot paper would have been Keir Starmer. You can see why he likes them.

Grassroots party members will not be allowed to vote on their preference until MPs have decided who they will be allowed to vote for. And there are too few socialist (left-wing) MPs left in the Parliamentary party, so if members want to vote for a left-wing candidate, they will not be offered the chance.

The sexism and racism of the new rules was pointed out before the vote was taken by James McAsh, a delegate from Camberwell and Peckham whose party membership is likey to be revoked in the very near future.

He said the change meant Labour’s future debate would be “paler, maler and staler”:

The vote was very tight indeed – 53 per cent for to 46 per cent against. This Writer understands that Starmer only won because Unison was persuaded to support him with its block vote.

I would urge Unison members to ask their leaders why they support racism and sexism, and why they chose to undermine democracy.

It is also possible that Starmer gerrymandered the result with his mass expulsions. This Writer would like to know how many actual votes were cast, and how this figure compares with those for votes in previous years.

Also included in the rule changes:

It will be harder for grassroots members to deselect unwanted MPs, with more than half required to demand a reselection procedure before it can take place.

And registered supporters, who pay a one-off fee to vote in party elections, are abolished.

Boris Johnson is probably laughing so hard he may bust his enormous gut.

It is bitterly sad that Labour is now more sexist, more racist, and less democratic because a right-wing trade union supported a leader who is more right-wing than the Conservatives. The members most affected by this – constituency parties – overwhelmingly voted against the change.

Of course, Starmer lied in order to fool party members into voting for him – and that should be enough reason to demand his resignation and a new election under the rules that existed until today, on the grounds that the change would not have been brought in under an honest leader.

Sadly, Labour doesn’t have an honest leader.

And he certainly isn’t going to allow anything like decency to take power away from him.

Of course, it doesn’t make any real difference. The only votes he can win are rigged.

Michael Gove: sexist, racist, homophobic and divisive – from his own lips

Michael Gove: One wonders how Chelsea FC and its fans feel about having this racist, sexist, homophobic hater of the North as a fellow supporter.

It shouldn’t be a surprise. After all, he did think rape was funny.

Michael Gove apologised for his comments about Harvey Weinstein’s bedroom…

… but it turns out he has been making similar comments in public since at least 1987, according to The Independent.

The newspaper has listed sexist, racist and homophobic comments from 1987 and 1993 – all of which should have disqualified him from ever being considered a suitable candidate for a Parliamentary seat.

He was elected into Parliament in 2005. Presumably some Tory sponsor thought he had lived down his words after 12 years. Little did they know what would happen 12 years later… or, indeed, now.

And what has happened now?

Well, we’ve found out what he said all those years ago. Probably the most offensive part – to the most people – is the classist statements (below):

Yes – it’s worse than the sexism and racism because the North will hate being pigeonholed so offensively and the South will hate being assumed to hate the North.

At the very least, it’s not good for sales.

The real question about this scandal is what Boris Johnson will do about it.

Gove is currently Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, which doesn’t mean a lot. But he’s tipped to become either Foreign or Home Secretary in a mooted Cabinet reshuffle.

If Johnson goes through with the alleged plan to give Gove a more high-profile job, after these revelations came to light, he’ll upset millions of people…

… and show that he couldn’t care less about the feelings of the “happy” South (ha ha) or the “cruel, dirty, toothless” North. Electoral suicide.

The Anna Rothery scandal suggests Labour is a sexist and racist institution under Starmer

Anna Rothery: her socialism is probably the reason she has been dropped as a Liverpool mayoral candidate. But the decision is also sexist and racist – and that is how Keir Starmer’s Labour party should now be described.

How is this an improvement?

Let’s go through the information we have, and please correct any errors.

There will be an election to fill the role of executive Mayor of Liverpool after Joe Anderson retired under a cloud.

The Labour Party held a selection process using an all-female shortlist which produced three candidates, including current Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Anna Rothery.

However, examination of Ms Rothery by party leaders revealed that she is:

  • female
  • black, and
  • socialist.

It seems that these are considered undesirable elements in Labour candidates under Keir Starmer’s leadership.

This may come as a surprise to many, especially as he should have expected a selection process that demanded that all candidates are female to produce candidates who aren’t men.

The selection process has reopened. It seems clear that the aim is to parachute in a candidate who is as neoliberal-blue as Starmer himself – in denial of Liverpool Labour members’ right to a free and democratic selection.

But the fact is that he will have eliminated a black woman to do it.

Therefore it is possible to claim that Starmer’s Labour is prejudiced against women and against people of colour: he and his party are sexist and racist.

I am reminded that his forerunner as Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, suffered years of attacks, both in the media and by backstabbing right-wingers within the Parliamentary Labour Party, based on fabricated accusation of anti-Semitism.

So I ask:

How is genuine racism and sexism better than fake anti-Semitism?

Boris Johnson: don’t let the media make a messiah out of this racist, sexist, cowardly liar

You may have seen some news reports suggesting that contingency plans were made for Boris Johnson’s death of coronavirus – suggesting that his recovery may have been miraculous in some way.

In other words, the Tories and their supine media were trying to cook up a “back from the dead” story for Johnson, painting him as a Messiah-figure who has returned from the brink of the grave to bring strong leadership to a country desperately in need of it.

In other words, they’re trying to feed us another load of old pigswill.

Boris Johnson isn’t a messiah – he’s a sexist, racist, homophobic, cowardly liar.

Remember his Brexit campaign, when he lied that the NHS would be given £350 million a week? That investment might have done us all some good, prior to the coronavirus crisis but it was never going to happen because the Tories have been running the NHS down to make it ripe for privatisation – which would have made the UK even less capable of handling Covid-19.

Remember when he tried to make a joke of the massive loss of lives in the Libyan city of Sirte during that nation’s civil war? Or when he had to be stopped from inappropriately quoting a colonial poem by Kipling in Myanmar?

Remember when Eddie Mair, on BBC Radio 4, read out a litany of Johnson’s racist behaviour, to the dismay of Amber Rudd?

When Johnson refused to condemn widespread police violence against civilians in Catalonia?

When he spoke nonsense about Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe in Parliament, and the Iranian government used it to threaten her with an extra five years in prison, beyond the five she was already serving on a trumped-up charge?

When he was reprimanded by then-Commons Speaker John Bercow for referring to Emily Thornberry in “frankly sexist” terms?

When he praised Viktor Orban on his election win in Hungary after an anti-Semitic campaign?

His sexist and Islamophobic comments about women who wear the burqa?

The £53 million he spaffed on a ‘Garden Bridge’ that was never built?

His cowardice during the Tory leadership campaign when he was the absentee candidate?

The racist poem he published, saying that Scottish people were a “verminous” race that should be placed in ghettos and exterminated?

His racist assessment of the French as “turds“?

The allegation that Downing Street sought to restrict Johnson’s access to sensitive intelligence when he became Foreign Secretary?

The evidence that he met a Russian ex-KGB agent without being accompanied by his personal security detail, which strongly suggested that he was harming the UK’s security in relation to Russia? What happened about the so-called ‘Russia report’, discussing such security issues, that Johnson has been suppressing since before the general election last year?

His reference to gay men as “tank top-wearing bumboys“?

His question about Irish PM Leo Varadkar: “Why isn’t he called Murphy like the rest of them?”

His clueless claim that hard work can cure mental illness?

His relaxed attitude to his MPs abusing women?

His lie that the NHS would get 20 hospital upgrades, starting in his first week as prime minister – that he then edited out of a video?

His illegal attempt to prorogue Parliament?

His obscene description of then-Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn?

The corruption scandal in which he allegedly gave public money to his friend Jennifer Arcuri? What happened about that, by the way?

The allegation that Boris had taken money for his Tory leadership campaign from a group of hedge fund bosses who planned to make a fortune by getting him to force a “no deal” Brexit? What happened about that, by the way?

His decision to run away when the UK was flooded and needed strong leadership?

His failure to follow his own social distancing rules and subsequent illness with coronavirus? If he had died, it would have been of stupidity.

But he was never in any danger of death – and the people of the UK are registering their disgust at this latest attempt to make fools of us:

The only sane choice is to agree with the sentiment immediately above.

Or are you content to be brainwashed by the BBC?

This fascist is Boris Johnson’s latest employee. If anyone complains, remind them who voted for him

Dominic Cummings did ask for “weirdos” – and that’s exactly what he’s giving us in the former of his fascist advisor Andrew Sabisky.

This maniac was handed a job by Boris Johnson, and has been sitting in on government briefings for a week already. His known beliefs, preferences and pronouncements should tell you everything you need to know about the direction of Mr Cummings’s government.

(Let’s be honest: Boris Johnson is just a figurehead and has been completely sidelined from policy management. The UK is being run by an unelected far-right extremist and now – it seems clear – his fascist helper.)

Consider:

That’s right: Sabisky wanted to sterilise poor people. According to the Huffington Post, he sent that comment to a website run by Cummings – who seems to share the same leanings.

There’s more:

Oh, and he thinks taking an allegedly brain-enhancing drug called Modafinil is “worth a dead kid”. According to the Daily Mail:

“In a 2016 interview Mr Sabisky talks about modafinil – a drug usually used to tackle sleepiness due to narcolepsy but often used as a brain-enhancer.

“Mr Sabisky – who calls himself a ‘super forecaster’ – addressed the drug’s side effects in children which includes a higher risk of Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a life-threatening condition in which a person’s skin dies and falls off.

“He told an interview with School’s Week: ‘From a societal perspective the benefits of giving everyone modafinil once a week are probably worth a dead kid once a year.’

“In the same interview, he said: ‘Eugenics are about selecting “for” good things.”

Eugenics – the policy of selective breeding to enhance some genetic traits and reduce others – was a prominent Nazi policy.

Oh, and he’s a sexist too: “Mr Sabisky Tweeted: ‘I am always straight up in saying that women’s sport is more comparable to the Paralympics than it is to men’s.'”

The Mail on Sunday also reported that Sabisky did not agree that female genital mutilation (FGM) was a scandal.

“It is still unclear to what extent FGM represents a serious risk to young girls, raised in the UK, of certain minority group origins,” he wrote.

“Much of the hue and cry looks more like a moral panic.”

This is the direction of your government.

Fortunately, someone in the train-wreck that we still call the Labour Party has got their act together enough to call for Sabisky’s removal – before he can do serious harm.

According to the Huffington Post (again): “Shadow Cabinet Office minister Jon Trickett said: “There are really no words to describe Boris Johnson’s appointment as one of his senior advisers a man who is on record as supporting the forced sterilisation of people he considers not worthy. He must of course be removed from this position immediately.”

“Number 10 has declined to comment.”

And there’s your problem.

Number 10 doesn’t have to comment – or do anything at all about this – because the UK electorate voted the Conservatives back into power with a thumping great majority, so the Conservatives are going to use it to give us a great big thumping.

With Cummings and Sabisky in the driving seat, you’d better get ready for perverse levels of oppression.

And if any Tory voter turns to you and complains, just remind them:

You voted for this. Own it.

See the way people stop supporting Boris Johnson when they realise what he’s like

Isn’t it interesting?

He has been nailed yet again over his lies – this time by a local TV news reporter:

Make sure people see this – it represents the current Conservative mindset: sexism, racism and lies.

And vote Labour on December 12.

Boris Johnson thinks children of single mothers are ‘ignorant and illegitimate’. Charming!

Boris Johnson: A while ago I used this image with a story about his racism and captioned it “Yes, he’s a sexist too.” In the spirit of fairness: Yes, he’s a racist too.”

Presumably there aren’t many single mums in Uxbridge and Ruislip.

This is a reminder that your Conservative prime ministerial candidate it a complete and utter git:

Boris Johnson branded the children of single mothers “ill-raised, ignorant, aggressive and illegitimate” in a magazine column, it has emerged.

In the same column, he argued it was “feeble” for a man to be reluctant or unable to “take control of his woman.”

He said it was “outrageous” that married couples should fund “‘the single mothers’ desire to procreate independently of men.”

And he said a way needed to be found to “restore women’s desire to be married.”

What on Earth makes this ignoramus think children of single mothers must be illegitimate? Many children are born in wedlock but the marriages then break up – it’s a sad fact of our times.

What makes him think they are “ill-raised, ignorant” and, indeed, “aggressive”? I know many people who were raised by single parents to be hugely valuable members of society.

So Mr Johnson was merely displaying his own ignorance.

Then again, that is obvious from his contention that a man should “take control of his woman”.

The best women I know are utterly uncontrollable and would bring a terrible fate down on any man who tried to change them.

And his comments about restoring “women’s desire to be married” are the ramblings of a sexist control freak.

Notice he says nothing about men’s desire to be married.

We have heard echoes of these sentiments many times in recent weeks and months – these are Boris Johnson’s beliefs.

Allowing such a sexist, misogynist ignoramus to the highest office in the land will reflect appallingly badly on the UK among other nations – and who knows how much harm he could do domestically?

But some people think he has something to offer.

Or are they also prejudiced in their own way – against good government?
