Priti Patel’s planned immunity for officials who cause deaths of refugees is NAZISM

Nazi: Patel wants Border Force staff who cause the deaths of refugees to be immune from prosecution. What’s the defence – that they’re “just following orders”? That was what the Nazis said too.

Somebody has already called it fascism, but in fact this is Nazism:

According to The Guardian,

Border Force staff who enact Priti Patel’s plans to “push back” migrant boats in the Channel could be given immunity from conviction if a refugee dies, officials have confirmed.

The home secretary is seeking to introduce a provision in the nationality and borders bill that could give officials legal protections in the event that someone drowns.

Whether the provision, tucked away in an obscure corner of the bill, would actually protect officers from conviction under international maritime laws could be tested in the courts.

Presumably their defence will be “I was just following orders”.

Wait – where have we heard that before?

Ah yes: Nuremberg. It was the defence put forward by German soldiers responsible for Nazi atrocities like the Holocaust.

And we know it:

Still, there is a precedent. After all, government employees have been immune from prosecution over the deaths of sick and disabled people for years.

Apparently people are being discouraged from pointing out the obvious far-right, Nazi parallels – so kudos to this Twitter user who accurately labels Home Secretary Priti Patel, the fiend responsible for this move:

If this legislation is enacted and people die, she should be dragged out for trial in The Hague – and I, for one, would be quite happy to see her sentenced to execution.

Covid-19 is still killing more than 100 people a day. Why the media blackout?

Still deadly after all these months: Covid-19 is currently infecting around 40,000 people a day – and killing 130-150.

Did you think the Covid-19 crisis was over?

That seems to be what your government – and media – want you to think. Think again.

Here are a few facts from October 6 – the day of Boris Johnson’s speech to the Conservative Party conference, in which he hardly mentioned Covid at all:

Yesterday, this graph became available. Note that the UK is spiking again, while Germany, France and Spain are plummeting.

The BBC has, at least, reported on the latest evidence – albeit with an attempt at self-justification. “Unnoticed”? John Whittle puts that fiction right:

The trouble in the UK is that we are a nation in denial. The BBC article plays down the significance of a death toll as high as three major commercial aircraft crashes every week, and so does the head of the UK Health Security Agency:

This Site’s long-term friend Samuel Miller puts his finger on the reason we let these people get away with it: fatigue.

Is there an ulterior motive for the sudden silence? Covid has provided Boris Johnson’s corrupt government with opportunities to siphon billions of pounds out of the public purse and into private pockets. Now we have this:

Adam, below, explains the situation succinctly:

That’s one and two-thirds million pounds per patient. Would you call that value for money? Or is it a rip-off of the public purse to enrich the profit-grubbers?

The crisis of Covid is nowhere near its end. And the scandal of Covid has hardly even begun.

Covid-19: Boris Johnson is happy if 50,000 of you die every year. He likes money more

Boris Johnson reckons the cost of saving up to 50,000 lives a year from Covid-19 is too high, according to leaked information from Downing Street.

It seems he would rather put you all back to work, slaving to keep the economy generating money for him and his Tory Party donors while the bodies pile high – remember what he (allegedly) said last autumn?

And if you die – so what? You’re not him so he doesn’t care.

Apparently the threshold at which he’ll start to consider re-imposing measures to restrict the spread of the virus is 50,000 lives a year. That’s more than 1,000 a week or around 137 every day.

The Prime Minister is minded to implement another lockdown or new restrictions only if the figure of annual deaths looks like it’s going to go above 50,000. That means deaths from Covid of 137 a day, or just under 1,000 a week.

It’s the equivalent of three or four major aeroplane crashes every week – but they would make news headlines and these deaths probably won’t.

And here’s a funny thing. 137 deaths per day? We’re already very close to that – and the schools in England haven’t reopened for the autumn term yet.

Ah, but it seems the level of deaths would have to be sustained for two or three weeks…

“A sustained rate of death of around a 1,000 a week for two or three weeks will, though, lead to discussion on restrictions being reimposed. Unfortunately, prime ministers have to weigh up the cost of saving lives to the impact on the economy. No one wants to talk about that’s how it works.”

… and at the moment the media are all far too busy pointing our attention towards disasters in other countries to bother reminding us of the disaster that Boris Johnson is planning to inflict on us right here in the UK.

This Writer reckons we’ll hit Johnson’s threshold for new restrictions by the third or fourth week in September.

But I’m willing to bet he’ll do nothing about it, even then.

I’ll be happy to be mistaken. But I don’t think I am.

While people were dying of Covid-19, your government used the crisis to rip you off. Watch this film

Once more, with feeling (I’ve used this image many times): the PPE used in UK hospitals at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic is pictured bottom right. Instead of buying proper PPE from trusted providers, the Conservative government created a special back-channel to funnel cash to their cronies in return for faulty or unusable trash.

It’s less than seven minutes long and you need to know what it has to say.

The information in it is accurate – as far as it goes. This Site has published some of the facts before.

But this film, which was apparently projected against the walls of Parliament, puts it all in a nutshell.

Here it is:

Outrage as Labour MP writes in The Sun. Where is Starmer?

Keir Starmer’s Labour Party has betrayed the people of one of its stronghold cities by allowing one of its shadow ministers to write an article in The Sun, days after the death of a victim of the Hillsborough tragedy that that rag misrepresented so grievously.

And Wes Streeting isn’t even sorry about it (yet). Is it because he’s an out-of-touch Londoner who thinks he’s above the concerns of people in the North?

The Ilford North MP was putting forward the latest part of Starmer’s campaign to turn the clock back to 1997, with a “tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime” attitude that focused on child poverty. But, as one commenter put it, when has any UK political party claimed to be soft on crime?

On Twitter, he said he had written an article in The Sun:

Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves then retweeted the announcement, making it clear that this was a move that had been endorsed – hypocritically, but we’ll come to that – by the Labour Party leadership.

The choice to write for Rupert Murdoch’s far-right hate-rag was highly controversial – and Streeting’s justification for it was risible:

While it may once have been true that Labour-leaning voters read The Sun (most of its readership in the 1980s voted Labour and bought it to get angry at the pro-Tory bias it contained), those days are long gone. Dwindling readership means it is now a loss-making minority-interest hack-rag, written by rabid Tories, for rabid Tories.

Those are the voters Wes Streeting wants to attract to Labour.

Labour can happily do without them – and him. He has made his own political preferences abundantly clear:

And he could not have done this at a worse time.

Remember: The Sun blamed the people of Liverpool for the Hillsborough disaster that killed 96 people, when in fact the responsibility lay with the police. Its editors and publisher (Murdoch) colluded with Margaret Thatcher’s Tory government and the police to push on us a lie that Liverpool fans caused the deaths.

The people of Liverpool have never forgiven Murdoch and his filthy little toilet-paper periodical has been boycotted there ever since. Traditionally, Labour has supported this choice – until now.

That’s a general rule – but it became far more specific this week because Streeting chose to publish his article in the sun only days after the death of Andrew Devine, who became the 97th victim of Hillsborough.

It was an act of phenomenal insensitivity, and arrogance bordering on callousness.

Labour – and left-wing – voices who genuinely seek to represent the people – especially when faced by Establishment lies and corruption – have leapt to condemn Streeting:

Streeting’s monumental insensitivity can possibly be best described by comparing his desire to chum up with the Conservative rag and former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s attitude – which was to have nothing to do with it and to seek to reduce the power and influence of its owner:

And what of the current Labour leader?

Remember above, where I mentioned that Labour’s bosses have endorsed Streeting’s article and it is hypocritical? Here’s the reason: in January last year, during a Labour leadership campaign hustings in – guess where? – Liverpool, Starmer attacked The Sun, saying he wouldn’t be giving any interviews to Murdoch’s rag. However…

… did you spot the “get-out” clause in his speech? He said he wouldn’t be giving any interviews to The Sun “during this campaign”. Labour members in Liverpool – and elsewhere – saw it as support for their campaign – “don’t buy The Sun“. They were all mistaken.

He was only saying it for effect.

He was only saying it to dupe them into voting for him.

And now he is actively courting The Sun‘s (dwindling) readership, via Streeting.

I wonder what good he thinks this highly-visible about-turn will do him – especially at a time when a poll of the British public shows that we want him to resign:

On the basis of this disgusting betrayal, Starmer’s departure – and that of Tory suck-up Streeting – can’t come soon enough.

Complaints after Covid app tells 600K to self-isolate – but about the APP, not the government

Ventilator: if your boss wants the Covid-19 app altered so it doesn’t ‘ping’ you when you’ve been in touch with someone who has the virus, then you’ll almost certainly end up in hospital, attached to one of these.

Businesses have been complaining to the government because 618,903 people have been ‘pinged’ – told by it to self-isolate because of contact with someone who has Covid-19.

The alerts all happened in the week leading up to July 14, meaning the contacts all happened before Boris Johnson and his Tory bozos ended social distancing restrictions and the requirement to wear masks.

But it seems bosses want to browbeat the government into making the app less sensitive, so they can keep a full workforce.

How predictably short-sighted!

The problem isn’t the app – it’s the government that allowed the Johnson (Delta) variant of Covid-19 into the UK because it didn’t close UK borders, because it wanted a trade deal with India, because its Brexit was so bad.

That blunder – not a mistake but a deliberate choice by a genocidally-incompetent prime ministerial failure, let’s not forget – has sent the UK’s Covid-19 infection rates sky-rocketing.

People are filling up hospital Accident and Emergency departments again. Many of them are double-vaccinated, but that isn’t stopping the government from planning to exempt double-vaccinated people from self-isolating after being pinged, from August 16.

Schools have been identified as the principle spreader of the virus, but that isn’t stopping the government from exempting all under-18s from self-isolating after being pinged, from August 16.

And, again, people are dying.

On July 21, 73 deaths were recorded – the most in a single day since March 24.

The number of hospitalisations and deaths is expected to rocket as a result of the relaxation of social distancing rules on July 19.

And in this context, businesses want the app’s criteria loosened, so it doesn’t tell their staff to self-isolate.

There’s a logical question to ask, following on from all this:

What kind of business do these chumps think they’ll have after all their employees catch Covid and end up in hospital – as a result of their stupid, selfish, short-sighted demand?

Biggest weekly rise in #Covid19 cases/deaths since March on #FreeDumbDay +1

Rampant yet again: the number of Covid-19-related deaths per day has nearly doubled in the past week. How many more will Boris Johnson’s decision to relax social distancing force on us?

The day after Boris Johnson unlocked England (by remote control, one presumes, considering he is self-isolating) we find this:

The number of coronavirus cases in the UK has increased by 46,558, with 96 deaths also recorded in the latest 24 hour period.

Last Tuesday, July 13, only 36,660 new cases were reported, with 50 further deaths, meaning today’s figure is almost double that of the preceding week.

It comes following the lifting of Covid restrictions across the country, with the so-called ‘Freedom Day’ seeing social distancing and mask-wearing rules scrapped.

I leave it to you to decide whether Johnson’s plan is genocidal lunacy or not.

Dawn Foster: mainstream journalist blacklisted by The Guardian dies aged just 34

Tributes are being made to Dawn Foster, the journalist who was fired from The Guardian for – rightly – identifying centrists as the cancer in Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party.

Ms Foster has died at the tragically young age of 34, after a long battle with illness.

But it is not her illness that comes across as the most upsetting part of this. Scan down the tributes below and you will see that friends of Ms Foster are incandescent with outrage over the fact that she was blacklisted by The Guardian for writing something we now know to be a clear and demonstrable truth:

That was written about the 2017 general election result, which Labour very nearly won – and, it is believe, would have won if not for centrist saboteurs. They had better luck in the 2019 election, after having carried out two more years of wrecking. Read the full article via the link below.

It should be pointed out that there were some in the Labour Party who rated Ms Foster.

For This Writer, though, the extraordinary thing about her was this perception of her work (with apologies for the strong language, which is not mine):

She wasn’t; many, many journalists – including This Writer – criticised Watson continually after his agenda became clear. That was in 2015, so we spent many years doing it.

But we were on the social media and she was in the mainstream. Her blacklisting demonstrates the high degree of censorship carried out by the UK’s media giants.

They really do tell you what to think – and, critically, what not to think.

I’ll close with perhaps the best tribute that I’ve seen, and I hope that everybody reading this will support the sentiments it conveys:

Javid expects NHS waiting list of 13 MILLION because government Covid policy ‘successful’

All for show: current social distancing rules will continue in the House of Commons until Parliament goes into recess on July 22. Javid and his fellow MPs are making sure they stay safe!

As I was typing this story, news just in: government scientists say summer Covid-19 wave could reach between 100 and 200 deaths a day.

Covid-19-related hospital admissions are likely to be between 1,000 and 2,000 a day.

We already know that infections are likely to be 100 thousand a day by the same time – mid-August.

And Sajid Javid reckons the NHS waiting list backlog could rise from five million to 13 million – nearly tripling.

He attributes these disastrous figures to the success of the vaccination programme – did I get that right?

The vaccination programme is, of course, failing – because Boris Johnson allowed the Delta, and now the Lambda, variants into the UK and the new strains of the virus are evolving to beat the vaccines. This means increasing numbers of people are catching the disease despite having been “double-jabbed”.

Here’s some evidence:

Some of these tweets are a couple of days old by now – but do you honestly expect the current figures to be an improvement?

If you are in England, your government is dragging you to your doom – and is actually talking you through every step because Johnson, Javid and the other cronies have nothing else for you but contempt.

The Tories’ #FreedomDay means freedom to infect young people with Covid-19

Unmasking: but would new Health Secretary ‘Covid’ Javid be so keen for us all to do the same if he hadn’t had both vaccination jabs? And will he continue to protect himself until after the vaccination programme is complete – long after his planned “Freedom Day” on July 19?

More than 100 scientists have told the government that its plan to end Covid-19 restriction on July 19 makes it #DangerDay – not #FreedomDay – for the nation.

The letter states: “Immunity will be achieved by vaccination for some people but by natural infection for others (predominantly the young). We have previously pointed to the dangers of relying on immunity by natural infection

“Implicit in this decision is the acceptance that infections will surge, but that this does not matter because vaccines have “broken the link between infection and mortality”.

“The link between infection and death… has not been broken.

“And infection can still cause substantial morbidity in both acute and long-term illness.”

Read it for yourself:

The Tories are deliberately sentencing young people in the UK to either death or serious health problems, long into the future.

If you’re a parent, are you happy that ‘Covid’ Javid is threatening your children in this way?
