Read the headline again: Israel’s supporters are lying and the Gaza death toll has not been revised down.
This is a particularly nasty lie that has just surfaced on the social media and even in some mainstream news outlets.
The first I heard of it was from this reprehensible individual:

As you can see, it clearly states the number of people who have died there due to Israeli aggression between October 7, 2023, and May 8, 2024, as 34,844 – not including more than 10,000 reported missing or under the rubble.
Of these, 24,686 have been positively identified and 10,158 remain unidentified.
Yes: Israel knows how it looks. It looks as though Israel is committing a genocide.
