BBC uses unattributed quotes from Tory ministers and reports them as facts – Pride’s Purge
Get ready to get angry at the BBC – again. Here’s Tom Pride to explain:
Have a look at the extraordinary last paragraph of this article on the NHS, in which the BBC is clearly reporting pure government propaganda as fact:
BBC: The Conservative and Lib Dem coalition government has increased NHS spending each year during the current Parliament and both parties are committed to the founding values of the NHS that no-one, regardless of income, should be deprived of the best care.
Now compare these quotes from Tory Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt from a couple of years ago and the (strangely anonymous) BBC reporter’s (supposed) own words from the article:
.
These are not facts. They are the opinions of a government minister being reported as facts by the BBC. And they’re not even true.
That’s not news. It’s propaganda.
Mind you, I don’t know why the reporter who wrote the article is so keen to remain anonymous.
I mean, we all know that the reporting of unattributed propaganda from government ministers is a sackable offence for professional journalists in reputable news organisations.
But this is the BBC we’re talking about.
You’ll probably want to complain (again) to the BBC. Here’s how you can:

Complained!
Complaint entered. We wait in wonder at the reply!
Each and every news program , in essence, is a Tory Party political broadcast
You will receive a somewhat bullshit response from the BBC I have tried over twenty times to get some reasonable explanation as to their actions, I have ultimately become nothing more than a nuisance to them and get brushed off every time I complain. Having read the response received by others it is a standardized letter. e.g. b*****ks.
