It doesn’t matter how much Theresa May loves Trump – the UK won’t eat chlorinated chicken

Last Updated: January 31, 2017By

To make them grow faster, US dairy cows are regularly implanted with hormones that are banned in the EU [Image: Tony C French/Getty Images].

If this is part of the “everything” that a government source said would be ruined if Donald Trump didn’t get his State Visit to the UK, then This Writer says: Let it be ruined.

Any US trade deal struck by Theresa May would be contingent on the UK public stomaching imports of US foods that it has previously rejected: beef from cattle implanted with growth hormones, chlorine-washed chicken, and unlabelled genetically modified (GM) foods.

Martin Haworth, director of strategy at the National Farmers Union (NFU), was up next… [His] only concern was that if such controversial American products were allowed into the country, British farmers should be able to use the same production techniques to ensure “an even playing field”. Do you find it credible that British farmers could beat the US’s vast industrial feedlots, hi-tech poultry plants and vast GM prairies at their own game? No matter, the NFU does.

It seems entirely possible that [Theresa May] would bin existing food rules in order to clinch a deal.

“But we do love our chlorinated water out of the tap!Don’t we?”…………..yes, at around 1ppm available chlorine. I suspect the chickens concerned are being washed with a strong solution of toilet bleach, sodium hypochlorite, at a strength far in excess of a few ppm.

So utterly desperate is May for “trade deals” she would, I suspect, import arsenic-laced foodstuffs.

And yet we accept fluoride in the water which is something that once imbibed can not be excreted, and even its proponents accept has a very narrow therapeutic window, meaning that most people in fluorinated areas will suffer from fluorosis which means yellowing and pitting of the teeth and an increased level of osteosarcoma, and yes you can add to it by eating plants and meat that have used this water as well.

The problem is that because Obama signed into the DARK Act, EU & UK citizens would not even be aware of what was in the food at any point. That was the whole point of the DARK Act. The US never does anything that does not serve it’s own best interests and consequences are for others to worry about.
