Transgender students are targeted for hate by Trump
What threat do transgender students pose to the people of the United States?
None, that I can see.
But Trump’s decision legitimises discrimination based on gender identity, so it seems the United States now poses a huge threat to its own transgender students.
The Trump administration has withdrawn a piece of federal guidance requiring transgender students to have unfettered access to bathrooms and locker rooms matching their gender identity, in a move that could embolden many schools to restrict trans rights.
In doing so, the administration has signaled that it does not necessarily interpret current federal civil rights protections as prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity.

The division and hatred that these right-wing politicians sow is quite frightening, but of course fascist reactionaries thrive on division within societies. People should be asking themselves, which will be the next group to be targeted with the hatred and bile?
Not really http://hotair.com/archives/2017/02/23/no-trumps-transgender-bathroom-memo-is-not-a-ban/
Did I say anything about anything being banned? No, I didn’t.
You have chosen to misinterpret what Donald Trump has done.
He has laid transgender students open to discrimination.
To play Devil’s Advocate, where does one draw the line? As far as I am aware, this piece of legislation (to allow the use of bathrooms) is relatively new and we know that it has been open to abuse, because one cannot prove how one identifies. Our society seems to be being splintered and every possible minority seems to want recognition and treatment other than what has existed. We hear, time and again, there is more that unites us than divides us, yet we seem to focus, almost incessantly, on that which makes us different.
Germaine Greer has the same mindset as Trump and his supporters, she’s supposedly transphobic.
