Labour’s treatment of its Wallasey party is corrupt and inexcusable. All party members should demand justice

The Labour Party’s investigation into the allegations against Wallasey CLP has been a travesty from beginning to end.
Consider the claims made in the official report – and the ease with which they were shut down by This Site and others.
It seems clear that there has been no wrong-doing.
But the right-whingers who still have a grip on the mechanics of the party are insisting on revenge against Wallasey for daring to suggest that Angela Eagle may not have acted in their interests, and those of Labour members in general, by supporting the failed coup against Jeremy Corbyn last year.
It is they who should be forced out of the Labour Party, not Paul Davies.
Perhaps members of other constituency parties need to make that point – forcefully – to the NEC.
Wallasey Labour group will soon have its suspension lifted – but a key activist could be expelled from the party altogether.
The Wallasey Constituency Labour party (CLP) has been told its suspension – which was imposed last year after claims that MP Angela Eagle and others were subjected to homophobic abuse – will be lifted at its AGM meeting, which is expected after May’s local elections.
But the Labour party has said that local activist Paul Davies will remain suspended and will face a hearing from the party’s National Constitutional Committee, which could see him kicked out of the party.
While the Wallasey CLP will be reinstated, it will continue under “special measures” – meaning all meetings will have to be supervised by regional officers.
There will also be fresh elections for officers, all of which will be made to sign a pledge to stick to the party rules.

I am appalled at the total lack of democracy where Wallasey is concerned! Surely Wallasey CLP will be needed to fight the local elections in May and should be getting organised now? Why are McNicol and his friends still in post and still interfering in the running of our CLPs and the legitimate right of people to be members of the Labour Party?
This is the right wing playing its games and wants to take control over the party
Time for a lawsuit against the NEC i’am up for crowd funding or whatever it takes enough is enough
I would second that motion.
