If you’re young and you want a future, REGISTER TO VOTE and vote Labour

Last Updated: May 9, 2017By

A young voter takes a selfie with Jeremy Corbyn. He won’t be supporting the Tories by failing to vote – but will you?

The message is clear: If you are young but aren’t rich, there is NO FUTURE for you in the UK under Conservative rule.

No – don’t try to argue. There isn’t. All the evidence – including Conservative policies, shows that you don’t have a butterfly’s chance in a furnace.

If you don’t vote, you are effectively supporting the return of a Conservative government that will subject you to a life of poverty and struggle, forever.

So you need to vote.

That means you need to register to vote.

The Conservatives have already made registration more difficult than it used to be – because Tories don’t want young people to vote – but you can do it by visiting this site:

https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Deadline for registration is May 22.

Don’t forget – there’s nobody stupider than someone who could have avoided trouble but didn’t, because they couldn’t be bothered.

Young people are more left wing – in fact, recent analysis by YouGov shows that for every ten years older a person is, the likelihood they vote Conservative increases by 8 points and the likelihood they vote labour decreases by 6 points.

According to a tweet by Guardian writer Alan Firth, if 30 per cent more young people vote (that would make turnout 56% – still 10 percentage points below the national average) – Labour would beat the Tories on June 8th.

We’re not entirely sure of the maths Alan used to get these figures – but it is clear that the higher turnout of young people, the better Labour will do.

I think “Vox Political” is terrific! I circulate them to all my friends! – both of them……

No seriously, I wish everybody was reading them. Please, as Alan Bennett would say, “Keep on keeping on”!
