Cabinet post is a zero-hours contract, not a job, says Boris Johnson | Politics | The Guardian
A zero-hours contract on £67,000 per year – and that in addition to his other job, so he’s raking in more than £210,000.
This man is despicable and his politics is putrid.

There is no end to his greed and vainglorious arrogance.
Despicable and dangerous. The only infinitesimal (or smaller) good thing about the Tories getting back in is that, if they had lost, Boris would probably be leader by now.
We can only blame the system, and the people of Uxbridge for allowing this to happen he should be made to stand down as mayor of London.
Just so insulting to the poor and those who have no choice but to accept zero-hours contracts. They are called flexible in the US and we are supposed to follow suit here.
No, zero hours means you have no idea when you will work and creates mayhem for other benefits.
What an insult to working people without a £4 million house and plenty already in the bank.
This man single-handedly destroyed the provision for youth and young people in London and has since obliterated what was left.
Running London – there’s nothing left!
One of the most loathsome and obnoxious Tories who masquerades as a jovial buffoon. However, beneath that wafer thin and false facade lies a thoroughly unpleasant and dishonest Tory.
You are right.. one doesn’t get to the power he has by being a buffoon.. beneath that joviality lies a calculating hardnosed politician..
Maybe we, as the ones paying his salary, have him clock on and off.. that way he only gets paid for the actual hours he does. The same goes for his Mayor’s role.
His remarks are equivalent to his Bullingdon japes: burning £50 notes in front of homeless people. How insulting is he; and it is completely deliberate.
How can he possibly justify remaining as Mayor of London? He cannot give the job the attention it deserves. It also shows his contempt for his role as an MP in that he feels he can fulfill it in a part time capacity.
The man is a disgrace.
