Did Cameron order cover-up on landfill cyanide death of 7-year old?
The apparent conspiracy by the UK government and its agencies to conceal the real cause of death of 7-year old Zane Gbangbola may go right up to Prime Minister David Cameron, writes Paul Mobbs.
He was chair of the COBRA emergency committee at the time when it appears to have held back the truth that he was killed by cyanide from the toxic landfill site his home was built over.
Almost a year ago I wrote an article for The Ecologist entitled ‘death by landfill‘.
The article told the story of 7-year old Zane Gbangbola, who was killed in his bed during the floods of February 2014. Not by water, but by poison gas.
Given the lack of information at that time, the article focussed on how John Major’s Conservative government of the early 1990s reneged on a promise to introduce strict laws on contaminated land.
These would have required historic land contamination to be tracked down and, where appropriate, made safe. Had they been enacted they may have prevented Zane’s death twenty years later.
Almost two years on from Zane’s death, in advance of the inquest (already a year overdue), new information is beginning to emerge on the events of that day.
These documents raise questions as to whether the Government covered-up the unsettling facts of Zane’s death, and its implication for Britain’s legacy of contaminated land.

I would not put anything past Cameron, he would not know truth or honesty if it bit him on the bum.
Sadly with this government money speaks allowing those who do the dirty bit of allowing this to happen greed but nothing else
What is depressing about this case, and others, is just how many agencies, paid by taxpayers money to protect the public, have renaged on their duties and salaries to protect officials who have failed in their duties or ignored or sold out introducing the correct legislation to prevent these deaths…..mainly lobbied by the greed of the elites and authorities anxious to save high restoration money having saved a mint in cheap dumping of nasties, cover it up and walk away. The facts of this case were revealed by those with the technology and local knowledge reasonably quickly discounting the fall guy engine exhaust fume fairy tale. Fracking will be yet another example when they find how much water will be contaiminated/wasted, chemicals contaminations, radon gas issues etc etc etc…..which will be totally ignored or declared safe by paid for traitor experts……we, the taxpayers, will pay for this expensive fracking mistake cleanup leaving the elite with the profits and no cheap gas for the plebs.
quite right Mr Angry he wouldd’t know truth or honesty if it smacked him round his lying gob, just like that other serial liar Dr Death..
