Tory minister given brutal telling-off in Parliament as she’s told “be quiet – it’s not about you!” – Mirror Online
Another Tory behaving in an unstatespersonlike manner, after the Jeremy Hunt Twitter incident earlier this week.
Anna Soubry is another of the new breed of Tories who love the sound of their own voice far more than any other aspect of their job.
She regularly receives rebukes from the Commons speaker and it was about time she had another.
A Tory minister has been given a brutal telling-off in Parliament for heckling Labour’s protests about her Northern Powerhouse.
Anna Soubry was told to “be quit and listen – it’s not about you!” in a stinging rebuke from Commons Speaker John Bercow.
The Business Minister spoke out in an urgent debate about the decision to close her department’s Sheffield office and move 247 jobs to London .
Sheffield Heeley MP Louise Haigh accused her of “contempt for the north” after she failed to guarantee the survival of more offices in Gateshead, Leeds, Manchester and Teesside .
And MPs said Ms Soubry was guilty of an “undignified spectacle” and “falling below the standard” for Parliamentary behaviour after she and colleagues shouted over shadow minister Gordon Marsden.
Labour MP Louise Haigh claimed the top Tory was “not fit for office”.
She was blasted by the Commons Speaker, who told her: “There’s something about a basic dignity. Just sit and listen.
“It’s not about you. It’s about the issue. And it’s not about the honourable gentleman either. It’s about the issue.
“Be quiet and listen. That’s the end of it. It’s not a request, it’s an instruction.”

And about time too you can’t shut her up on every time she’s on the telly. Just like that other banshee Claire Perry who loves the sound of her own voice.
another big mouthed lying Tory full of her own self importance.
Why am I not surprised! Anna Soubry really is a nasty piece of work. Whilst not as bad, I reckon is followed closely by Nicky Morgan.
Oh, Anna Soubry again. Nuff said.
A further thought. Any rebuke to this woman will be like water off a duck’s back. She is utterly insensitive and, by definition, probably a bit thick.
She’s a Tory – nuff said!
Another nasty, bullying piece of work. In other words a typical nasty Tory.
Anna Soubry is probably the rudest woman in the HOC. She shouts across the floor when MPs are debating. She makes sure that the opposition MPs know for sure what she thinks about their comments. I have never seen the Speaker admonish her!
tsk tsk i am so so cross with those tories….NOT… get a life you bunch of would be socialists.all or at least a helluva lot of mp,s are loadmouths thats how they get recognised..
Well I’m sure we’ve all learned our lesson from that telling-off!
