Danny DeVito (!) wants disgraced David Cameron to quit in favour of Jeremy Corbyn

In this case, everyone includes much-loved movie star Danny DeVito. He said he believed the Labour leader would make a “great PM” and do a better job than David Cameron, who has faced intense pressure to detail his financial affairs since the Panama Papers leaks.
DeVito, 71, recently endorsed US presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders by introducing the Democratic candidate at a rally in Missouri last month.Speaking at an event for The Motion Picture and Television Fund in Los Angeles, DeVito said he was also a “big-time” supporter of Corbyn.
He told the Press Association: “I like the idea of people telling the truth. I like them to get to the bottom of things. In our government we have a lot of subterfuge.
“Now we’ve got the Panama thing. What is it? Why doesn’t anybody want to pay taxes and just fix the country and make everybody have a good life? It’s really crazy.
“I think he (Corbyn) would make a great PM. Way better than Cameron.”

Well, he is a comedian so you couldn’t expect a sensible comment. They both have no chance of being elected. It will be Clinton and the Conservatives winning the two elections.
DeVito is not a comedian; he is an actor who has performed in comic and dramatic roles. Your comment is in poor taste. One should not dismiss another person’s opinions on the grounds of their profession; you don’t know what their personal interests may be.
But then, your comment is also indicate of Tory beliefs.

All “hayfords” has done is to demonstrate how little he knows of Danny DeVito.
Well,he has done stand up comedy and I think that makes him a comedian as well as an actor. He has to be a comedian to support Corbyn and Sanders.
Oh right. Well, when your opinion starts to be worth much on the world stage, we’ll take that into account.
hayfords, I’ve known of Devito for a great many years, and whilst I have been aware of him being a comic actor, I’ve NEVER known of him being a comedian, and there is a MASSIVE difference between the two. To me, a comedian is someone who stands up on a stage and tells jokes/amuses an audience. That’s NOT what he is MAINLY KNOWN FOR. Ask most people in the street what they think Devito does, and I bet you’ll likely get the answer “actor”. I also believe that I am agreeing with Mike here, in that you seem to infer that anyone who IS a comedian, you couldn’t have serious dialog with – which is not only INSULTING to the person concerned, but is also nothing but total and utter TRASH!

“Well, he is a comedian” – you ARE stating that he IS a comedian – FULL STOP, FACT!
When you add the line “so you couldn’t expect a sensible comment”, to the end of the first line, you ARE IMPLYING that ANYONE who IS a comedian, you COULDN’T get a SERIOUS comment from.
With the greatest of respect, if you have difficulty following that one, and understanding a pretty basic sentence like that (that YOU wrote), then I suggest you need to take a refresher course in English and grammar. Sorry!

It is interesting to note that there are a fair few famous people who are coming out in support of JC, Bill Bailey, Charlotte Church being two of them. Far as I can tell, the support for him seems to be doing nothing but growing.
excellent point, but also lets temper things down and remember the tories are still human beings with normal everyday anxieties and insecurities. In fact probably even I would risk to add are slightly..or even highly greater insecurity, hence their need to spend lives doing nothing but adding numbers into various deposit accounts.
