Misha Collins: This is probably the safest photograph to run with this article.

If you’re unfamiliar with Misha Collins, he plays an over-literal, over-serious angel called Castiel on the hit fantasy TV show Supernatural, and is the source of much of that show’s comic relief.

This is not comedic in the slightest.

Mr Collins attended one of Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rallies, just to see if the reality matched the hype.

It did.

What affected me most was Mr Collins’s reaction to what he saw, recorded after the event. There are moments he seems on the point of tears at the thought that Trump could win.

That’s why I think he deserves a little applause (and a lot of respect) for going into that snakepit.

See what you think.

He’s on Twitter, by the way – @mishacollins. If the video affects you as much as it did me, why not send him a message of support, and tell him @MidWalesMike asked you to do it.

Chances are we’ll never get a episode of “Supernatural” where Castiel (Misha Collins) goes to a Donald Trump rally, but this is easily the next best thing.

Collins is currently between seasons of “Supernatural” and dedicated some of his free time to hitting up a Trump rally to see exactly what all the fuss was about.

The end result is about as crazy as you’d expect from one of these things.

“We need to have everybody scared of America,” one Trump supporter says.

The entire event, which included snipers on the roof, Trump proclaiming his love of waterboarding and many people who claim they want nothing more than to “Make America Great Again,” was eye-opening for Collins. “It is full of hatred and generalizations and intense oversimplification of really complex things,” he says.

His overall message if simple. “I would encourage you to not be apathetic,” he says. “Don’t be complacent. Get out there and make sure we don’t end up with this f*ckhead in our White House.”

As far as I can tell, this translates (very roughly) as: “I’m Argentinian. After many years of populist governments in our country that do so much damage to communities, please do not let the United States succumb to this example of right-wing populism. It would be very bad for the US and worldwide. I adore Misha Collins and love everything he does. He is always committed to important things.”

Truly scary. I’m no fan of Hilary Clinton but at least she would keep the US as we know it, even if we don’t like it. Trump as President, with a Republican senate and congress backing him and passing any of his hair-brained bills, would be a disaster. I am just hoping that a majority of Americans have a bit more savvy than the party-faithful loons who attend Trump’s rallies.

Its not, the one in the article is a repost on someone else’s account that can only go up to 240p and is very pixilated, while the one Misha put on his account can go to 720p HD and is very clear.

I apologise – I went back and checked and you’re right.
          I’ve replaced the video.

Big fan of Supernatural and I too applaud Misha for doing this and to shine a light on the real goings on with Trump and his followers, this man can never be allowed to be president!
