Labour presses Theresa May to provide desperately-needed funds for health and social care
Will Theresa May and her Chancellor Philip Hammond do anything to alleviate the pressure on either service? Fat chance!
They’ll use it to build up a Brexit war chest and launch stealth taxes against the poor (if the pundits have read them right).
But it is important that they should at least be given the opportunity to do the right thing, so Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary, Jonathan Ashworth, has pleaded with her to make the necessary funding available.
Remember: There is no shortage of money. The UK is one of the richest countries on the face of the Earth.
There is only a shortage of will on the part of greedy, miserly Tory ministers who genuinely want to deprive suffering poor people of the care they could so easily provide.
“Theresa May must use her first Budget as Prime Minister to provide the NHS and social care sector with the funding desperately needed to provide the very best quality of care. That’s the test on the NHS that her budget must meet this week.
“Theresa May used to make a virtue of her rows with the police and said she had no sympathy with those managing her budget cuts but she can’t take the same unsympathetic, derisive approach to NHS funding. The test of her first Budget this week therefore is whether she will signal a different approach to the NHS.
“At the very least the Government should bring forward £2 billion of emergency funding for social care and make clear as soon as possible how this money is going to be used to increase capacity and take some of the pressure off NHS hospitals, so that patients and their families never have to go through a winter like this again.”

What is needed above all else is to look at hospitals and how they are managed, apparently a Manchester Hospital is advertising for 48 Diversity workers, the question has to be why?, after all a hospital should be there to assist you through a health care situation you can not cope with on your own without expert intervention, wtf has diversity got to do with it? Wasting money on extraneous matters needs to be stopped and the management clearly are incompetent when they think up stupid expensive waste on money ideas such as these.
