Outrage at Tory press claims that Labour will ‘hammer’ people who pay themselves a fortune
This story has so enraged the public it hardly needs me to write it.
John McDonnell, Labour’s Chancellor-in-Waiting, has vowed that nobody earning less than £80,000 a year will face tax rises under a Labour government – in contrast to Theresa May’s refusal to rule out tax rises for the very poor.
Here he is, explaining it to Andrew Marr:

Now look at the way the Torygraph span the story:
Labour pledges no tax rises for 95% of people & THIS is how it's reported. The establishment looks after its own. pic.twitter.com/ryl4SqK3a2

Workers on £80,000? Workers? Workers?
Tory media saying Labour to hammer the 5% of workers on £80,000? Not many cleaners, nurses, posties, firefighters or office workers on that!

Damn straight, Angela.
Looking forward to all the "£80,000: Actually Not A Lot Of Money" takes tomorrow.

I hope you’re enjoying them, Matt. And how about this plummy-voiced Tory, defending her party’s refusal to rule out tax rises for the poor?

You can tell when they’re lying – you can hear their voices.

All the way to the polling station on June 8, perhaps?
It’s all just another reason to Vote Labour.

is there no end to the nasty party’s obviously bottomless pit of evil?
Nope! They are just getting started! Still not enough disabled/infant deaths for them to be happy!!! The public are sleep walking towards a disaster June 8th.
I detest people who lie in order to try to achieve their own gains and that is one of the many reasons I would never trust the Conservatives with my or our children’s’ futures.
The Party reduces taxes(!) I lose 2.5% of my earnings in V.A.T. That’s right, my earnings! I pay V.A.T. on my agent’s commission, which is now 20% Is it not the case that the last Tory government rose V.A.T.? Is it also not the case that the previous one did, too? Is it also not the case that a Tory government, correct me, i I’m wrong, expanded what V.A.T. covers? £ow taxes, my **s*! The Party of lies! Next, they’ll be saying that they’re Party of the workers! Och, wait, they have! More lies!
Gerry Adams once said “Working people have no business voting Tory.” Some people have short memories; either that, or they’re masochists. Why do people continue to vote for them? Schadenfreude?
