Protests mark Conservative manifesto launch
The Tories were set to launch their manifesto in Halifax today. BIG mistake. It’s as though they are deliberately trying to provoke the British people against them.
And provoked is exactly what the British people were.
Look at this protest against zero-hours contracts – the Conservative Party’s preferred method of under-employing people while saying they have jobs:

Or how about this “welcoming committee”:

If you’re wondering why so many people are so angry with the Conservatives, perhaps you need a quick guide through Theresa May’s manifesto promises so far. Here it is:

Particularly contentious is the plan to make pensioners’ winter fuel payments means-tested, with the richest being denied the money.
The problem with means-testing is it is a prelude to all-out removal of a benefit. After all, where do you place the bar, to be fair? That’s why Labour has always provided universal benefits – and why not? If the rich contribute, why shouldn’t they also benefit? We’re always being told they pay so much more than the rest of us, after all.
More worrying is the fact that we don’t know what new horrors the Conservatives are planning to unveil.
The only certainty is that we will hear the words “strong” and “stable” repeatedly over the course of the day.
… From a weak and wobbly excuse for a political party.

The other problem with means testing is that it has a habit of costing more to administer the means test than it ever saves.
Interesting that she’s decided to plaster HER name across the bus, rather than the Tory logo?! Unless it IS actually there somewhere?
Not considering that she is extremely arrogant and selfish, she has even taken over the queen’s power in regards to Brexit!
Hope there are Accountants out there who are keeping tabs on what these nasty Tories are spending on their election campaign.
Best way to protest is to vote against them on polling day.
Pensioners fuel payments . . . yes to keep them from freezing/dying . . . . or maybe to keep their stables warm for their horses a la Nadhim Zahawi style
