Tory cuts are driving police towards suicide

Last Updated: June 28, 2017By

Take a look at this interview:

Maybe you’ve been on the wrong side of a bad decision by police officers and are saying “So what?”

I’ll tell you what.

If good police are being overworked so badly that they are having breakdowns, because of politically-motivated cuts by the Conservatives in Parliament, then they will be replaced by bad police.

Decisions will get worse; innocent people will be prosecuted because it is easier; crimes will go uninvestigated because they won’t have the time, and unreported because people will lose faith.

Perhaps the Tories will say the publicly-funded police aren’t doing their job and it’s time to bring in G4S or some other gang of profit-driven numpties to do it instead.

And then you won’t have any law enforcement at all – it will be reserved for those whose wallets can support it.

It is following exactly the Tory template for privatisation of everything to downgrade service levels to such a level that they and their mates own everything. At least having public servants there is some accountability and scrutiny with each privatisation eventually you get to the lowest service level possible, at the highest costs that they can screw for and max. profits and bonus payments for the sharks.
Eventually, after being totally taken to the cleaners, the same greedy muppet suits work out it would be better and cheaper to employ ones own staff rather than being screwed by outsourced contractors. With the Cons projected short shelf life their sale everything policy will now accelerate to warp speed.

It’s the same story across the whole area of public services, the only solution is a Labour Government committed to public service.

The corporate dystopia portrayed by “Robocop” could well become reality if we don’t have the chance to depose Mayhem and her raggle-taggle bunch of criminals.

Those who are criminals, destitute or dead thanks to the police can’t help. Those who could help aren’t exactly well-motivated when the biggest crimes get covered up with police complicity.
Besides, the gov’t isn’t rushing to replace police officers (although they certainly benefit from good officers killing themselves).
