‘Stop trolling Theresa’ – fine words from a woman who walked out on Mrs May in April
Katie Perrior told Talk Radio presenter Paul Ross: “We need to stop with the abuse, we need to stop trolling our politicians on Twitter.”
She is, of course, completely wrong.
The reason Theresa May is receiving abuse from the public is very simple: Theresa May is the worst excuse for a prime minister we have ever suffered.
She called a snap election in the belief that she would be returned to Parliament with a huge majority – and had her backside handed to her on a plate instead. That was a major miscalculation, unworthy of any resident of 10 Downing Street.
Consequently, Mrs May is spending £1 billion of our money – yours and mine – bribing the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland to support her.
But Ms Perrior said, “there is no money, people need to realise that”. So her credibility is doubtful.
She appealed to our emotions, saying, “”She [May] would be devastated right now.” So what? Mrs May gambled with the future of the country, and made a fool of herself. If she insists on staying in Downing Street, supported by her ragtag gang of brainless wonders, she’ll make us all look like fools.
And Ms Perrior insisted that that “people need to get real” and allow Mrs May to do her job.” In that, and only that, she was correct.
But there is only one part of her job that any of us should expect Mrs May to carry out now: Her resignation, and decision to dissolve her pathetic attempt at a government.
The only way we can have any kind of “strong and stable” government – as Mrs May herself described it – is by holding another general election and electing a Labour government.

Do you really think the election was the wrong thing to do?
Wrong for the Conservatives certainly, but arguably the best thing for the country.
you forget its stable and fair now oh dear the horse has bolted
Some of the abuse I suspect is pretty foul stuff but when you bring people to their knees and they are possibly hungry or they have family or friends affected, perhaps a disabled person feeling like they’re being punished for being disabled. I hope they all continue as while they are they’re fighting and not giving up to become a suicide statistic
I’m afraid I would agree with Perrior. Trolling MPs or anyone else is reprehensible and many people have been viciously abused online by mindless trolls who should often be prosecuted for their misogynistic racist sexist etc attacks.
Open fair and reasoned criticism of inept politicians on the other hand is legitimate political debate and May and her cronies deserve all they get.
Funny how when May gets “abused” on line it is reprehensible yet when Jeremy Corbyn gets some of the same treatment from trolls like you it is justified. Social media allows a festering boil of pent up rage from people being ground down in increasing poverty by the Indespicable May and her Cabinet of Millionaires to be lanced. No one gets physically hurt. But thin skinned politicians don’t like it as it has a way of deflating their oversized egos. Ah. There there dear Theresa. Resign and it will all go away.
Neilth isn’t a troll.
Read his comment through again and you’ll understand what he’s saying, I hope.
with every day that goes by my contempt for that woman builds up more n more.she is a pathetic excuse for a human being.and cares for no one but herself and staying on and in No10 by whatever means she can. fair or otherwise, she doesnt care for the rest of us at all.
Oh dear, the nasty Tories don’t like it up ’em. What a shame, …never mind, keep it up trollers.
