Not worth the paper it’s written on – glynismillward189
So, CaMORON and GIDIOT Osborne are sending out statements to taxpayers from today, detailing how their taxes are being spent, writes a clearly-annoyed Glynis Millward.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/millions-start-receiving-break-down-of-how-their-tax-is-spent
So, they are using YOUR money to tell you how YOUR money has been spent.
They are using these letters to further disenfranchise benefit claimants by saying to taxpayers , look how much of your money is being spent on these scroungers/workshy/skivers (delete as applicable)
They are using a government department – HMRC, to send these letters out!!!
WTF!!!
Using a government department, which over the last 4 years has been subjected to the most savage job cuts

Gidiot maintains that these letters are part of the governments initiative to be open and transparent…. HA HA HA ; there goes another rib… open and transparent? when this government do things for example, such as deny people the opportunity to make Freedom of Information requests regarding deaths of benefit claimants
If I receive such a letter, I shall be sending it straight back with a covering letter, requesting (amongst other things) the following information;
- What is the cost of sending these letters out?
- Why don’t the government tell me how my National Insurance is being utilised?
- Do any of the amounts shown in these figures include amounts frittered away on privatisation costs instigated by this government?

Just can’t find words to describe these bloody idiots, my God they take the pale,!!!!!!!!
This is tax subsized propoganda.
Question for you:
How many of the 24 million people, will be claiming in work benefits?
I think this could be an issue to submit to 38 degrees.
Excellent!
will the zero hours, minimum wage workers get a statement?
I’d like to know the total spent on WORKING TAX CREDITS as part of the break breakdown of what we pay.
As you are aware this is used to encourage large companies to pay just over the minimum wage, I saw no mention of this, so I take it it’s calculated in the welfare section.
In my opinion they should pay a liveable wage, lessoning the burden on us taxpayers,
why should we bail them out, I am as angry about this as buying IDS’ breakfast.
We need the same protection that religious and racial minorities have. If they said “This is how much tax money is spent on black people” it would be seen as an outrage and as the whipping up of racism.
they just love wasting our money dont they?
In addition to this being blatant propaganda, I’d like to say this:
These statements are being sent out to PAYE taxpayers, and those who fill in their tax returns online will be able to view it there according to the BBC, so, isn’t there an unspoken assumption here that democracy only applies to those who pay income tax?
So if you’re a low earner who doesn’t meet the threshold for PAYE, you don’t deserve to know about government spending. If you’re a poor state pensioner, unemployed or disabled, ditto.
I also find it disturbing that the inference is being made in such a way that it will be claimed to be non-political (even though it clearly is).
I predict that sometime soon, we’ll hear about some tory somewhere saying that poor people should not be able to vote.
Don’t be giving them ideas Nina. Already in America they are putting this idea forward, and as we all know what happens there soon follows over here.
