DWP Admit one metre rule for PIP is “Unfounded” – Jayne Linney

Jayne Linney tells us: Anyone dealing with an incorrect mobility award for PIP, take note:

A FOI request has revealed the DWP admit the One Metre Rule [that the average adult step is slightly less than one metre] is unfounded and agree ” it is time to review this figure”.

    My stride (to use the correct term) is exactly two feet (0.61 metres). I’ve measured it in the past to calibrate a pedometer. I’m no titch either, I’m 5’10”

    I would love to see a few more examples of a stride measurement. health problems make it impossible to get mine but i know its no where near a meter
