Why the government doesn’t want to solve the housing crisis

Last Updated: June 18, 2014By

The government has created a housing bubble that presents an illusion of growth, in order to put forward a pre-election myth of an economic miracle. Isn’t it sad that it seems the best thing for the future of our country would be for that bubble to burst, with all the accompanying misery that would entail?

I’ve only seen it since 1978 though but realized in 1990 that such a system is unsustainable, and virtually predicted the collapse of the banks in 2001 when I wrote Tony Blair about the ‘bonus culture’ which was duly ignored.
