DWP Breaks its Own Rules when threatening Support Group Members – Jayne Linney
Jayne Linney writes: Further to my post earlier this week, today another example of the most seriously ill disabled people being told they must attend work focussed interviews or else be sanctioned; never mind this is in direct conflict with the DWP’s own guidance which states :
“Support Group
If you have a condition that severely limits what you can do, you’ll be in the support group. You’ll not be expected to look for work and we won’t expect you to take place in any work-focussed interviews”.
How the DWP are going to spin this is yet to been seen; what I do know is this is yet another time this unelected Government has deliberately broken it’s own rules and then lied about it!
This ongoing discrimination against disabled people is totally unacceptable and I can only hope people say ENOUGH

well thats not true… my son is severely limited in what he can do but first he was told he was fit for work. then told on appeal he had been put in WRAG. so it depends on what THEY..ATOS OR WHOEVER IT IS, DECIDE ON WHAT AND WHEN SOMEONE IS TOO DISABLED TO WORK. AGE OLD QUESTION.
i was put into the wrag group without even getting a medical assesment…i can tell you its alot of rubbish..jobcentre plus are no help what so ever..been for 4 work focused interviews so far…complete crap it is…been the same thing word for word every time…got other appiontment this friday with diffrent person getting bumped all over the office…complete waste of time.
The DWP should be available to assist and help those in need. There is absolutely no shame whatever in attending an interview to claim help. The shame is when the DWP and the picked interviewers are biased against helping and intent on diverting funds to other vested interests.
