Farage: The Text-Book Islamaphobe – Beastrabban\’s Weblog
Last week Nigel Farage was criticised again for his comments about Muslims following the massacre of the Charlie Hebdo staff in Paris and the attack on a Jewish supermarket, writes the Beast.
The Fuehrer of the party for the over-50s had said that while he recognised that the extremists were only a minority of Muslims, nevertheless there was a problem within the Islamic community that had allowed them to arise. Critics claimed that Farage had accused British Muslims of forming a fifth column within Britain itself.
This is actually text-book right-wing Islamaphobia. Literally. One of the anti-racist sites I was reading a little while ago stated that right-wing politicians and xenophobic groups had accused Muslims of forming a ‘fifth column’ in Britain promoting terrorism.
Which is precisely what the Kipper Duce had done.

“The Party for over 50s” ? Blimey, I’m nearly 60, but have no time at all for Fartage and his Idiot Brownshirts!
See my response to Andy Robertson-Fox.
“…party for the over-50s…” please do not be so insulting to the many rational thinking senior citizens who despise this indvıdual’s polıtıcs.
Fair point. I think the Beast should probably have said “party for the over-rich, under-intelligent over-50s” – then we could all agree.
Age and fınancıal status are ırrelevant
No, they aren’t!
So, by your defınıtıon, someone who ıs under fıfty and over rıch or over fıfty and destıtute supports a party other than UKIP.
No.
Mıke, I accept the maın thrust of thıs artıcle but and can understand why doubts about an ındıvıdual’s ıntellıgence mıght be raısed but cannot see why age and fınancıal status are ımportant ın determınıng one’s polıtıcal vıewpoınt.
Really Mike you are getting desperate twisting facts to suit your own views. This comment is one being made by all parties e en your beloved eussr that there is a small faction of extremists, who are pretending to be pushing their own views in the name I of Islam, and you think that people who know and repeat this who by their actions are not decrying the religion or the majority of its followers is a fascist. I think we can all see who is the real fascist Mike.
Would that be the person who deliberately misreads an article in order to make a false point?
Sorry for the offence caused by the remark about Farage’s party being for the over-50s. Of course it isn’t, and you’re right, most of the over-50s despise him. I made the comment because, according to analysts of UKIP, most of their supporters are over-50.
Cheers.
I commented on Beastrabban, too, who has now clarıfıed the remark, thank you.
There is clearly something wrong with the native white British community when it allows things like this to happen; –
