SNP will form the real opposition to the Tories, says Angus Robertson | Politics | The Guardian
Could that smile be any more smug?
So far, we’ve seen the SNP siding with the Tories on economic matters, and we’re seeing the SNP planning to abstain on the fox hunting repeal – which will allow the Tories an easy victory.

I think you will find that it is a free vote – so no allegence to a party line or whip involved, just the conscience of the individual.

I already mentioned that on Facebook, but well done for pointing it out here.
It’s another reason to cast doubt on the SNP. This is a free vote, so why is that party’s leadership laying down any rules at all?
SNP has never voted on matters which do not affect Scotland…. People in England complained about the notion that the SNP could (if they wanted to) vote on Education matters/legislation which affects only English schools…. Can’t have it both ways.

Okay – from now on I’ll be trashing any comments that repeat what previous commenters have said.

The SNP are facing a Tory parliamentary majority so they can’t block the Tories at all.
