This operation will not succeed, but still Jeremy Hunt is lying to doctors
It’s all going wrong for ‘Germy’, isn’t it?
He just isn’t very good at ‘spin’, it seems.
Also, of course, he should probably have realised – before he started trying to hoodwink members of the medical profession – that you have to be quite intelligent to become a doctor in the first place, so seeing the discrepancy in ‘Germy’s wage figures will have been child’s play to them.
And this is one of those cases in which you can blame him for trying. He should have known this gambit would never work.
One supposes this says more about his own intelligence than about the situation he is failing to misrepresent.
Jeremy Hunt has said that if he were a junior doctor represented by the BMA he too would be joining protests against plans to impose a new weekend-working contract.
Reiterating claims that the doctors’ union was “misleading” its members over the planned reforms, the health secretary said he could understand how thousands of medics had been convinced to oppose the contract.
The health secretary, who continued to defend the plans by claiming they would not make junior doctors worse off, made his comments as thousands prepared to march in London on Saturday.

is lying a contagious disease among Tories ?
anything said by a conservative minister is not to be taken seriously as it has always been throughout history had strings attached and invariably been a lie
whatever contract hunt wants the chances are it would not be possible for many to even understand as the hours hospital doctors work break EU guidelines in many cases which make any contract null and void
From a logical point you have to pay hospital doctors an enhanced rate for overnight work along with weekends which is in keeping with many other types of employment
if i were the health minister i would make sure that all doctors were happy in their work and not overstretched and took on board their views and keeping my mouth shut
I have never credited Hunt with very much intelligence. Even when he was caught embezzling expenses to which he was not entitled, the only excuse he could come up with was both lame and childish – he didn’t understand the rules. Strange how the misunderstanding only worked heavily in his favour and not the other way.
