Helen Jones told to ‘start behaving’ like an MP following sarcastic tweet (From Warrington Guardian)

LABOUR’S Helen Jones has been told to ‘start behaving’ like an MP following a sarcastic tweet on Saturday.

The Warrington North MP, along with Warrington South’s Conservative MP David Mowat, has been urged to vote against plans to carry out air strikes in Syria, which will be decided following a 10-hour House of Commons debate today, Wednesday.

But on Saturday she angered many after tweeting: “Big turnout for planned #stopthewar demonstration outside my constituency surgery this morning.”

It was published alongside a picture shot at Westbrook Library, without anybody in sight.

It would be an encouraging sign if she were to demonstrate an ability to behave like a responsible adult.

Why should she worry about being admonished by another response from the twittersphere? Sarcasm hs much to recommend it, especially when directed towards the Stop the War group.
