DWP’s Universal Jobmatch site advertising for Christmas temps and work in DUBAI

The shocking part about this story is that Iain Duncan Smith has allowed useless recruitment let-downs Monster continue running Useless Jobs Mismatch for another two years.

Iain Duncan Smith’s apparent confidence in the site is par for the course. After all, his job isn’t to get people into work but to get them off-benefits and, he hopes, into cemeteries.

Iain Duncan Smith’s job site is hosting adverts for Christmas temps and work in DUBAI – years after concerns about its listings were first raised.

Universal Jobmatch – which jobseekers can be sanctioned for not using – faced humiliation after its 2012 launch for unwittingly hosting bogus jobs.

The Tory minister personally defended the site, saying staff “constantly monitor” it for fake or fraudulent advertisers and it received 4million searches a day.

Now the DWP is letting recruitment giant Monster continue running the site until March 2017, the Mirror has confirmed – despite rumours it would be dumped when the firm’s contract finished this year.

But research shown to the Mirror suggests inappropriate or badly-written ads are still slipping through the net.

A string of estate agent jobs in Dubai on the site claimed to be within 20 miles of Birkenhead… 4,700 miles away.

One ad on the taxpayer-funded site boasted the worker would have to pay no tax – opening with the words: “Ever dreamt of working in tax-free Dubai?”

Another ad, posted last week and left up until [February 18], wanted truck drivers “ASAP” for the six weeks leading up to Christmas.

I realise that there will be different views on this, but what makes the site even worse is the sheer level of duplication of jobs, sometimes page after page, which if you’re trying to do a job search, is far from funny !

This man makes me sick every day we hear of some other tragedy all because of this evil being, he has not got the brain of a wasp, what the hell is he doing in a ministerial position.

One wonder how much he receives in back handers from all these private contractors killing off the “stock” on his behalf. The son of Satan.

I have to say, the more info I see of the Con Gov’s appointment & use of companies from both the UK & the USA with highly questionable backgrounds, some with known criminal convictions, others with known, total incompetence, being paid millions of our taxes, the more I feel that there should be independent oversight of all public servants financial affairs to ensure that backhanders are not being accepted.

Otherwise, what reason can Con Gov Mins give to justify their acceptance of such companies?
