Theresa May’s answer to the #NHSCrisis: Insult GP surgeries and all the doctors who work there

Last Updated: January 14, 2017By

Theresa May: She gives stupidity a bad name.

Seriously, Theresa May? Your answer to the humanitarian crisis gripping the NHS in England is to accuse GPs across the country of laziness and threaten to take away their funding?

That is the stupidest thing This Writer has heard yet, in a saga of stupidity spanning the whole period since the Conservatives sidled back into office in 2010.

How does Theresa ‘Mindless’ May think GPs will react?

Let’s not speculate. We have Dr Clare Gerada on Twitter to tell us:

Get the message, Theresa May? Because you certainly will in the very near future!

GP surgeries will be forced to give patients appointments when they want or face funding cuts, Theresa May has announced as she attempts to relieve the pressure on crisis-hit Accident & Emergency units.

The Prime Minister will demand that GP surgeries meet the Government’s pledge to open from 8am to 8pm seven days a week unless they can prove that there is not demand in their area.

A major package of Government funding will be “contingent” on GPs being able to “demonstrate” that they are offering appointments “when patients want them”, ministers will say.

How to manipulate a strike. Not very subtle is it?

What an insult to GPs! In my practice the GPs are working like slaves and can never do enough to help their patients. No doubt this is another ploy by Mrs. May towards privatization. Wake up every one or you will soon find yourselves paying very dearly for private health.

Just what she wants so they’ll all start practising privately. Another step in dismantling the NHS

May has a chicken and egg situation there are not enough GP’s surgeries are closing, but she wants the reduced number to do more work taking away items that used to be done in outpatients so we have more work less staff which leads to backlogs and people going to a/e so those really needing a/e have longer waits which the trusts get fined for so they have less money to correctly fund a/e’s so who do you blame the chicken or the egg, actually it should be neither it is the farmer in this case the governments abysmal behaviour when it comes the the NHS we need someone who has the people and the NHS at heart, not just a finger in the pie of profit making private health care Hunt is about as much use to the NHS and our health as a bullet in the brain.

Why is she so unaware of the reality facing most Doctors today? Is she so closeted in the Westminster club she has no idea how the rest of the world is having to cope? She, and most of her predecessors are too ignorant to be in the job!

The lunatics are running the asylum and we are expected to believe every word they say.

The only way to bring order out of this planned chaos is to remove the Tories from the political scene, anyone who votes Tory at all in the future should right now be questioning their own sanity.

The Tories are not fit to govern, never have been and never will be, The last time we had chaos on this scale was the last time they were in office.

I do hope people will wake up in this country.

I did wonder who they would scapegoat for this latest nasty fiasco. Clearly not an intelligent move though as people know exactly where the blame lies.
