New protests against Donald Trump planned in cities across the UK on Saturday
Thousands will take to the streets in central London on Monday as part of a nationwide day of action against Donald Trump.
Owen Jones and the group Stop Trump, a coalition of anti-Trump MPs, activists, trade unionists and celebrities, are organising the demonstration at Parliament Square, which Facebook currently has 13,000 people listed as attending.
The rally, which has been arranged to coincide with the parliamentary debate on Trump’s state visit, will run from 5pm to 8pm.
A further 31,000 people have said they are interested in attending.

Great stuff. Wish I could be there too. It’ll take more than the unedifying spectacle of a British Prime Minister grovelling at Trump’s feet to get him accepted in this country.
So 44 possible attendance we got 55 k to march to save Stafford hospitals services and that got ignored 44k in London is chicken feed.
An audience member on Question Time yesterday pointed out that rallies in Glasgow received no coverage from the BBC as well. It’s that kind of behaviour that earns the Beeb its “biased” label.
