Hillsborough families denied access to justice because trial will be too far away

What a great dodge for those who aren’t interested in justice: Hold controversial trials many miles away from the families of the victims and say the rules forbid funding their attendance.

That is what has happened to the families of the 96 people who died in the Hillsborough disaster, it seems.

Here’s the report in The Canary:

On Tuesday 15 August, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reportedly told The Liverpool Echo that:

“Under the Code of Practice for Victims of Crime, we are not permitted to fund any other expenses, including attendance at court hearings for non-witnesses.”

The Liverpool Echo article now appears to have been deleted. But the CPS statement suggests that the government will only cover the travel expenses of family witnesses giving evidence at the trial; meaning that hundreds of the victims’ relatives may not be able to attend. And as The Liverpool Echo reported previously, some families could face a 170-mile round trip to see the trials of the five people charged with various offences in relation to the Hillsborough disaster.

The main problem is that it would be impossible to get a jury that has no previous knowledge, especially in Sheffield or Liverpool, of the event, secondly the amount of people physically able to attend is severely limited and thirdly their is no precedent to pay for people not directly involved int he proceedings to attend. This isn’t something that is being imposed to deliberately upset the families.

What’s wrong with getting a jury from elsewhere and bringing them to Liverpool for the trial?
Then, everyone with a stake in it would have a chance, at least, to attend court.

So why can’t we start a crowdfunding exercise to ensure justice in this case?

After reading this, plus the original source in The Canary, I am none the wiser as to where the trial is being held. Can anyone tell me?

The next hearing is in Preston, 36 miles away from Liverpool. That’s in September.
The previous hearing was in Warrington, 20 miles from Liverpool in a different direction.
So, judging by this evidence, the trial could be anywhere at all.

When I saw the parade of pompous liars filing into Court past the people they let down and in full public view, for once, blazed on the globalist media, these were the sacrifical few being bought to justice after an eternity of cover up and political lying from the very top. There was a certain arrogance that they know this was just a farce for the public end game….these are game players of their Elite masters they will never see a prison or any punishment but at least they sufferred public humiliation without the rotten eggs.
