In response to the President’s comments about Charlottesville, this happened to his star on the Hollywood walk of fame:

And then, as the United States prepared for a solar eclipse, this sign summed up the national mood:

Dear Lord, Is it time to impeach? Give us a sign. Blot out the sun. pic.twitter.com/4RuCSJND03— Perseus (@AndromedaNGC) August 21, 2017
It was in this atmosphere that Americans were asked to explain why they think Donald Trump should resign:
It's not a question of whether, but when. Join me to demand #TrumpResign. Let's return to arguing about the best way forward–without him.

Here are just a few of the responses:

Since Trump doesn't want to be the president for all Americans, then he shouldn't be the president for any American. #TrumpResign

Personally. I don’t want him to resign. I want him to be humiliated, impeached and thrown out on his ear. I want his businesses to be expelled from the UK and for all his US ones to fail spectacularly. I want him bankrupted, with nobody willing to deal with him. I want him to feel the hatred he has for others that he tries to instil in the US population. I could go on all night without saying all I wish for that scum.
If he wins on Thursday I suppose I can expect a visit from his pal May’s security boys for abuse of this charade of a President.
