May-be, May-be-not: PM u-turns over when she plans to quit and nobody is surprised
Only days ago, we were discussing the sheer optimism of Theresa May’s plan to remain as (nominal) prime minister until September 2019 – now she has backtracked on this story, saying she’ll lead the Tories into the next general election.
Here she is, reciting her interview answer as though she was taught it by rote:

May-be she thinks that election won’t be until 2022.
If so, she has clearly crossed the line into lunacy. Look for her in your nearest wheat field soon. Check out the crazed look in her eyes during that clip.
May-be she has alternative information, showing that an election could happen much sooner. Autumn, perhaps?
If so, it is perfectly likely that she believes she’ll lead the Tories into the next election and on until September 2019.

Theresa May has said she wants to lead the Conservatives into the next general election, telling the BBC she intends to remain in power “for the long term”.
Speaking in Japan, the PM said her job was not just to deliver Brexit but to define the UK’s place in the world and also to tackle domestic “injustices”.
Some reports have suggested she could stand down in 2019 after EU withdrawal.

If she leads the Tories into another election, they’ll lose it most likely. She had a 21 point lead at the start of the last one and squandered nearly all of it, and now she’s 3 points behind.
Gawd help us. Mendacious and delusional woman. She has to go.
This is welcome news. Labour landslide here we come…
She’s a woman it is their prerogative to change their minds.
What do other readers think of this comment?
I don’t suppose for one minute that the decision will be May’s to make, but I do hope she does lead the Nasty Party into the next election. That would mean certain defeat for the Tories – May probably doesn’t realise how much she is a figure of contempt and scorn.
She is on a gravy train and will keep going till they remove her
The constant lies and U Turns, the faltering speech and wavering voice, the determination to Lead without any consideration of what the Electorate might say, the desperation to cling to power, the total absence of any clue what to do with the power, the delusions that SHE and her team of equally flawed colleagues can make the whole world follow HER agenda….and YES, that crazy look in her eyes……they all speak volumes to me. UNFIT TO SERVE.
Plus her comments of ending social injustice despite her breaking ALL her promises to help the people of Grenfell Tower, and despite the ever-worsening situation for Disabled, Poor, Homeless, Hungry, Unemployed and even thousands of EMPLOYED people show quite clearly that she is in Cloud Cuckoo Land.
Do we think we have now identified the source of the crop circle enigma? Is it Maybit just going in endless circles, waiting for commands from higher intelligences? I think we should be told!
Unbelievable, what, May is on notice, what kind of reception she will get when she arrives back from Japan is anyone’s guess. It seems to me, and I may be mistaken, that she has committed Britain to war against North Korea, in exchange for a bowl of Japanese rice. Can this really be happening. No reports in the news, all on Brexit. If this is true, she will arrive back to collect her P45.
