This is a list of misleading words used by politicians and the media. Can you add to it?

“we have no plans to” = “we will” eg. “we have no plans to raise VAT” = “we will raise VAT” (they’ve said this twice), John Major and Osborne both said this with this meaning
Transforming as in Mr Gauke’s “…benefit changes are ‘transforming lives’…” when he mean’s ‘wrecking lives’.
“lessons will be learned” we forgot all the lessons we learned previously on the grounds of cutting costs and will continue to forget any lessons that get in the way of more cuts.
Tough decisions = depriving those in need for those of greed plus complete dictatorship by a government not fit for its purpose.
Our sympathy are with the family = We had a good laugh and chalked another PLEB off the list
