Southmead hospital bosses scrap proposal to set up private company to employ staff – Bristol Post
Bosses at Southmead Hospital [in Bristol] have decided to scrap the idea of setting up a private company to employ its staff after a huge backlash from its own workers.
The North Bristol NHS Trust said it recognised that staff had become ‘anxious’ about the proposals, which would have seen around 850 staff initially transferred to the stand-alone company.
Workers, staff representatives and unions slammed the plans.
