Michael Caine is not poor and should not preach Brexit to those who are
“I’d rather be a poor master of my own fate than a rich servant of somebody else’s,” said Michael Caine – who isn’t poor by anybody’s standards.
Watch him say it here:

The flaw in his argument is obvious: Brexit will deprive those who are genuinely poor of their rights. The Tories have eliminated them from their Bill to transfer EU legislation to the UK.
This means that the vast majority of the UK population will be left at the mercy of the cruel Tories, who are champing at the bit to reintroduce all the class-ridden prejudices that the UK ditched when we were progressing as a country, rather than going backwards.
Tories can’t wait for the day they’ll be able to force us to refer to them as our “betters”, or our “masters”. They’ll be demanding we tug our forelocks to them at every opportunity – on pain of losing whatever pittance they deign to pay us.
Because our rights as workers – and as human beings – were protected by the EU. They may have been introduced by progressive UK governments, but the current administration isn’t progressive at all and can’t wait to exploit you into the grave.
So, Michael Caine is completely wrong.
Brexit won’t make us the poor masters of our own destiny; it will make us the destitute slaves of the Tories.

It seems a bit much him talking like that with his knighthood and the amount of time he spends in other countries.
So its ok for Branson and Blair to have their say on the other side of the fence.
No, thank you.
Michael Caine a tory and as we know they can’t tell the truth
Michael Caine is a Tory anyway so what would he care about the poor?
I wonder why remainders take every word any leave supporter says as being somehow wrong but any lie stated by a remain supporter as being the word of God?
Same reason Brextremists take every word by a Remain supporter as being somehow wrong but any lie by a Leaver as being the word of God, I expect.
#Thought is this knight of the realm resident in the UK ? If so, for how many days ?
brexit doesn’t affect him and for that reason alone his voice should be classed as invalid
Considering how much time he spends in the olaygrounds of the rich in Europe, this is the height of hypocricy.
Michael Caine fought in the Korean War as a trooper. Through hard fought his way up the ladder though ability. He has a right to say what he likes. Most of the Lbour Party are feeding off the Public Purse. Death to the EU. Roger Ward.
No, that would be the Conservative Party feeding off the public purse.
Plenty of people have fought in wars and don’t get the chance to spout their views on TV.
I tend towards the belief that you are supporting him because he’s against the EU.
Cain is almost certainly more interested in tax cuts for himself than he is about what is best for 21st century Britain.
