If organisations involved in Grenfell Tower cladding didn’t know it was flammable, they are still responsible for the deaths

Last Updated: June 4, 2018By

This is what happens when profiteering businesses don’t take their responsibilities seriously.

How ridiculous.

The inquiry into the fire at Grenfell Tower almost a year ago has heard that the organisations involved in refurbishing the building did not understand how the cladding they used would react in a fire.

Do you believe that?

These people are trying to say they didn’t know it would burst into flames and turn the building into an inferno, killing 72 people according to official figures.

That is no excuse.

It was their job to know how the cladding would react in a fire. If they didn’t know, they should not have used it.

It seems clear to This Writer that the only consideration on the minds of those involved was money.

Personally, I’m sick of hearing about fat cat businesspeople failing in their basic duties, saying “Oh we didn’t know. Sorry!” and getting away with it.

It has happened far too often, especially under the current corrupt Conservative government that has relaxed regulations, allowing these charlatans the opportunity to create these dangers to the lives of others. The Tories have responsibility here, too.

Who knows how many other tragedies are just waiting to happen – not just relating to building regulations but in any of the other areas where the Tories relaxed the rules?

I don’t. But I don’t want to hear anybody responsible for such future harm smugly telling an inquiry they didn’t know it was likely to happen.

Let’s have some proper accountability – from the businesses that failed those who died, and from the government that allowed them to do it.

Not knowing is definitely not an excuse. Plenty was known about the material used and the onus is on them to find out all about it. Typical Tory cop-out.

Didn’t know my foot they where thinking of the money they have saved by now heads should have rolled but good old Tory Britain with its Tory legal system and Tory police force will do there best to brush it under the carpet just as they have done with the Elite Pedophile Ring and the Murder of Dr Kelly and his assistant

Two people stole 12 thousand pounds from the grenfell fund and are expecting a prison sentence! Who will go to prison for the 72 deaths? A two tier justice system clearly!
