Singing about it won’t save the NHS
The NHS was there for me when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I would not be doing the job I am doing today without that support. Thank you – and happy birthday. #NHS70 pic.twitter.com/4pMOjtBUnV

I tweeted her back. One word: “Hypocrite.”
Johnny Vegas had it right:
If we don’t fight for our NHS we will lose it. Johnny Vegas absolutely nails it. #OurNHS70 pic.twitter.com/MiEeDh7Uly

Yes that’s right. On its 70th anniversary, we all need to fight for the NHS.
But turn on the TV and it seems all you’ll see is people singing about it.

The nasty dishonest hypocritical Tories are now trying to gain political mileage from our NHS, which they actually hate. Evil people.
Why is it that there’s Happy 70th birthday NHS from hundreds of celebrities all over the TV but no-one, NOT-ONE celeb has said ‘ lets do an annual ‘NHS in Need’ ? Like you said Mike, singing won’t save it !
There’s comic relief and Children in need but NO-ONE will step forward and do an NHS in Need. Imagine the financial boost to the NHS if this were to happen ! The NHS is a Socialist baby, so imagine going Socialist large for 1 weekend a year.
Mike, maybe you could challenge some celebs to take up the task ?
Nor will demonstrations. We have to show convincingly that the NHS is being run terribly badly, wasting billions of taxpayers money and deliberately run done – not through lack of funds, but hugely destructive reorganisations.
Why KONP et al will not do this is beyond me.

May wouldn’t have got that sorted with private medicine, they only deal in high tariffs medication.
