Rishi Sunak has NOT given an NHS contract to his wife’s family business
Rishi Sunak has not given an NHS contract to his wife’s family business. That makes a welcome change, doesn’t it?
Apparently the social media are full of rumours that the government gave £3.4 billion of funding to Infosys for NHS technology, sparking some concern (although I note that the actual claim in the message below seems a little confused):
Is this correct ?
It can't be true – can it ?
Sunak wouldn't be that brazen would he ?
Although since he's on his way out – anything is possible ! https://t.co/PD4RSddw5s— Clare Hepworth OBE (@Hepworthclare) April 27, 2024
For clarity, here’s proof that people believed it was for NHS tech:

According to fact checking organisation Full Fact, it isn’t true:
The government announced £3.4 billion of funding for NHS technology, but it has not yet been awarded.
One caveat: it has been suggested that Full Fact was founded by Tories and its information on this matter may be suspect.
Personally, This Writer is willing to believe it. But then, let’s see who does get the contract, shall we?
