There’s a trust recession going on — and Tory Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride is living proof of it.
Stride’s latest “£5,000 giveaway” for first-time buyers sounds generous — but behind the headline is a £47 billion plan to slash benefits, sack civil servants, cut overseas aid, and strip away support for people with mental health conditions.

This Stride analysis is spot on! The widening gap between the ruling class and us mere mortals is like comparing Mars and a cozy village pub. Honestly, Mels plans are about as useful as a chocolate teapot for cutting bills. The unions took a hit, the coal industry suffered, and now this? Its like watching a slow-motion train crash of common sense. Lets hope the grassroots Tories wake up before they accidentally merge with Reform UK.
