If the political system remains committed to the type of capitalism that exists in Britain today, it will always end up justifying a system that produces a mega-rich and privileged elite. Hence, why Jeremy Corbyn is such a threat to the establishment.
Jeremy Corbyn looks like the first senior politician who will not be corrupted by the establishment. Bankers will not be funding the party. He will not support war. He doesn’t support Israel, He is not religious and doesn’t believe in the monarchy. He will be the first prime minister (if elected) for decades that does not, and probably will not support the establishment.
So frightened of Corbyn, the establishment is now mobilising their entire resourcefullness at him, evidenced by a threatened military coup – not quite akin to Chile in the 1970’s but an extreme tactic to say the least, one spawned from desperation for sure.

He shot himself in foot by lying left right and centre about Scotland. He sat with Andrew Marr, blamed SNP for privitising the railways..does he think Scots are dumb, rail privitisation was the Tories in 1993 long before our ScotParly was opened. He also said ScotGov were going to privitise Calmac, another lie, ScotGov has to by EU law offer up tender when contract of Caledonian McByrne ends…that is not to say they won’t win it again. It is public owned. The college places are distortions of facts, the amount of housing SNP has built since in power 8 years is in its thousands, when Scottish Labour in power they built “6” houses. Scotland is up on information like this and me, 40 years Labour one year SNP sickened me after I thought finally there was a principled Labour leader after many years. The minute a “Principled” person lies through his back teeth thn respect for him goes out the window. We’re wide awake ex Labour, the days of being brainwashed by the party with “bad SNP, Bad SNP, constant rhetoric and very little in way of policies are gone. We see the true worth of SNP, they do more for Scotland than Labour has done in many a year. I was born into a Labour family but when I die it will be in an SNP family. Labour left me, they pretended they came back but they showed their colours very quickly and that is me finished with them for good…..I’m not alone in those thoughts from ex Labour. Bragging about going to win Scotland back, he really is delusional.Scottish Gov are the worst ever, full of lying, propagandist careerists. leader Dugdale slagged off Corbyn then sucked up to him, she says “I’m in control of Scotland” he says, He will win back Scotland…once again, we’ve been shown that Labour in Scotland is only a branch office.
I enjoy your blogs though, very informative even though we support different parties.
I do agree that the minute a politician lies blatantly and repeatedly, respect for them disappears. I’m waiting to see the facts about this. On the other hand, I’ve seen the facts about what the SNP has done with college places (for example) and you’re mistaken. Also the fact that you descend into a rant does your cause very little good at all.
