Anti-Semitism row: Labour suspends two more
Pass your gaze across the following:
Two more Labour councillors have been suspended over allegations of anti-Semitism as the party crisis deepens ahead of tomorrow’s crucial elections.
It brings the number of Labour members suspended for anti-Semitism and racism since Jeremy Corbyn took over as leader to 18.
Newport councillor Miqdad Al-Nuaimi and Renfrewshire councillor Terry Kelly have both been suspended by the party pending an investigation.
In the latest case, disclosed on the Guido Fawkes website, Mr Al-Nuaimi used tweets to compare Israel to the Nazis and to make connections between Israel and so-called IS.
Mr Kelly used his blog to speak out about the “Jewish lobby” in the US, claiming it influenced foreign policy and even tried to rig the Oscars.
Now – have you already decided whether Miqdad Al-Nuaimi and Terry Kelly committed the offences for which they have been accused?
In the light of the “anti-Semitism” witch-hunt that’s going on at the moment, it’s a very important question.
We haven’t seen any evidence yet – and considering the accusations have come from Guido Fawkes, it seems likely to be very flimsy.
The important thing to remember is that guilt must be proved and cannot be assumed.

It seems that any criticism of Israel, and support for the people of Palestine is being classed as “anti-Semitism”.
Not all Palestinians are opposed to Israel.
And used as another stick to beat Labour by the Right-Wing media who are only too keen to join in, conveniently that the grandfather of the Mail’s current proprietor was only too happy to support Hitler
These are show trials. The Labour Friends of ethnic cleansing (sorry, Israel) should be on trial not those who are speaking out against against it. It’s obvious that this entire anti-Corbyn witch-hunt has been initiated because of Corbyn’s pro-Palestinian position.
oh dear oh dear In the latest case, disclosed on the Guido Fawkes now that tory lover would say anything for his masters the tories ops
Isn’t all this getting a bit distracting & diverting people away from the Hillsborough verdict… as well as muddying the election waters?
Two Welsh councils being taken to court was the last straw for me.
Guido Fawkes and I may not see eye-to-eye politically, but boy is he doing the Labour Party a huge favour by exposing the poison that exists.
And a huge disservice by over-exaggerating it.
EVERY large organisation has its fair share of prejudiced members. Look at the overtly Islamophobic campaign run by Zac Goldsmith in the London Mayoral elections – which David Cameron ignored. Why? Is Islamophobia less offensive than anti-Semitism?
Just like the last 2 suspensions. People speak out about the Israeli state and are instantly denounced as anti-semite. What’s the bets this all calms down on Friday, when the damage has been done in the English local elections? The media “might” even deign to mention the Tories bus after that as well.
From this side of the elections, I’d say you were exactly right.
