Leanne Wood challenges Owen Smith over his ‘refugee’ blunder

How can Owen Smith ever hope to be leader of the Labour Party if he can’t string together a decent li(n)e about immigration?

I know, it’s a flippant question. But Mr Smith deserves no better. He has laid himself wide open to attack with a stupid claim about south Wales being “overrun” by immigrants that is based on nothing at all.

Now Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood – the same lady who was once told by Mr Smith that she is only invited onto TV shows like the BBC’s Question Time because of her “gender” – has challenged him over his silliness.

Here’s an explanation of Mr Smith’s mistake, courtesy of The New Statesman:

160827 Owen Smith refugees

(The whole article is quite brutal in its honesty about Mr Smith’s failings so – if you like that sort of thing – give it a visit. I understand the statistics on refugee numbers have been altered, also, so it would be good to go there for the update.)

Now let’s have a look at Ms Wood’s statement:

One wonders whether Mr Smith will have the decency to respond – and also whether any response will be decent enough to report.

Well, my ballot papers arrived today. It will give me great pleasure to vote against this joke of a candidate. Jeremy Corbyn possibly has more integrity and leadership qualities in his little finger nail than exist in Owen Smith’s entire brain.

Does smith’s lie count as inciting racial hatred?

Mr Corbyn is changing politic in GB by his decency, honesty and strait talking which people like Mr Smith cannot cope with. He came to politic as many others from all parties thinking they can bluff people which give them their due has worked for centuries but since the creation of internet people are waking up and as usual the corrupt politicians still behind.
Mr Corbyn will be remembered for enlightening and empowering people in GB, his way will reverberate across Europe.
The rats need to understand that there is no way back to the old politic, the movement is getting strength and power, the world is changing by the wakening of the “pleb” the “without teeth” the “lower class” now it is time for the “elite” to take note if not the snow ball will become an avalanche for them.
