London terror attack: Wise words
I wish I had seen this before I posted my report on the terror attack yesterday – although I really wanted to make my point about the job the police do in Parliament and the fact that innocent bystanders are always the ones who get hurt.

Count me in on that one
Media are responsible for giving the terrorists the publicity they crave. TV reporters almost wetting themselves in excitement as they find eyewitnesses to recall their account of what happened. Endless re-runs of the footage from the helicopter. Whoever was behind it must be wetting themselves in the wonderful publicity the media are giving them. All for free.
I wish that people would stop calling these people terrorists. Call them what they are: murderers. Where is the terrorism? Who was being terrorised? This and similar acts are acts of mass murder, no less; that was the aim, pure and simple and that end was achieved.
We will carry on, because that’s what we do, as we have done after every tragedy that has befallen us.
