Twisted Damian Green thinks it’s ‘exciting’ that future jobs may not have stable hours, holiday pay, sick pay or pensions
A happy man: He’s looking forward to helping his Conservative government destroy your future.
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions thinks it is “exciting” that his government is getting rid of the securities that have made working life bearable for working people for decades.
This disgusting individual – who, as a former journalist, would have benefited from exactly the in-work benefits he is happy to see others lose – thinks it is okay to consign the majority of the British people to poverty, uncertainty and the stress of constant contact with the draconian ‘assessors’ in his government department.
Link it up with other government policies and you’ll see that this loathsome creature delights in the possibility that working people will not be able to take time off when they become ill – and probably would not be able to afford a cure in any case, under the Conservative Party’s plans to privatise the NHS – but would instead have to work themselves into an avoidable early grave.
And getting rid of their opportunity to retire means even healthy people will work until they die, slaving on poverty pay while exploiters like Mr Green enrich themselves on the profits.
Please, Britain, get a clue. This man – and his friends – hate you. They only want to hurt you. Put a stop to their plans while you still can. Never vote Conservative.

What a slimey Con slug…..”huge potential” can only translate into Con speak as extra profit more explotation and total employment power over the unwashed. Meanwhile the big boys pay themselves excessive pay, bonus and I;m sure final salary schemes for them will always remain intact. This is the real Conservatives that we know and luv (read despise). Slither back under your rock low life where you belong. Not one expletive anywhere the drugs must be working for me.
This person is not fit for “its” purpose and needs to be removed from where it can cause any more harm.
It’s true about ‘great potential’; Imagine MP’s on state pension alone; No expense accounts! One 5 yr period as an MP and your out, having to earn a living under the rules you brought in!
Of course he’s excited. He’s probably positively orgasmic. In fact he probably needs to change his underwear. He and his fat cat capitalist cronies stand to make considerably more profit on the backs of these ‘self employed’ wage slaves
Green is pushing on with the roll out of Universal Credit’s “full digital service” despite the fact that it is spawning misery and chaos everywhere it is happening, completely ignoring pleas from local authorities, landlords, experts and the Work & Pensions Committee. Apparently because “Universal Credit is getting people into work faster and keeping them in work longer” (DWP Mantra) Green thinks it would be “unfair” and “wrong” to delay full implementation of the benefit.
So it looks as if there really is somebody even more incompetent, dishonest and worse than IDS and David Freud?
Who would have thunk that?
This character isn’t the only Tory who thinks that taking working conditions back to the 19th century is a good thing, both Liam Fox and the ‘Orrible Member for the 18th Century, Rees-Mogg, have both said exactly the same thing. Yet still working class people vote for these loathsome people.
The DWP continues to insist that the route out of poverty is to get a job, despite increasing evidence to the contrary. Good employers are few and far between, and workers rights are rapidly being eroded. The ‘career ladder’ has been replaced with a game of snakes and ladders, where workers can just afford to live during periods of employment, but quickly revert to periods of poverty when out of work.
Studies have shown that after a period of unemployment, workers need to be in paid employment for a period of two years to reach the point they were at before they became unemployed. With the current trend being towards short-term contracts, some workers may find that they never reach a point of financial stability.
