Theresa May defends ‘rape comment’ candidate Cuthbertson
Read it and weep – especially if you’re a Tory:
Theresa May has defended a Conservative parliamentary candidate who made “shocking” comments about rape and homosexuality.
Peter Cuthbertson, the Tory candidate for Darlington, had said a woman’s “promiscuity” was relevant in determining whether she had consented to sex in rape cases.
At a press conference, the Prime Minister said: “Peter has made clear that his views have changed.”
In her answer to the question, Ms May did not condemn the prospective MP, and instead laid out her record on domestic violence.

Maybe Mr Cuthbertson’s views have changed. Do we have any blogposts of his showing evidence of that?
My own experience of blog-related accusations suggest that possession of such material would be a bonus. No? Oh dear.
Then what are we to make of Theresa May defending this man?

Unfortunately there are many ideas about Rape that are bandied about such as the idea that every male is a prospective rapist, this link for example shows how difficult it is for anyone to really decide on what is and isn’t admissible as evidence. https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/590tyy/female_labour_mps_call_for_legal_change_following/
Let us hope the people of Darlington, through the ballot box, give this nasty Tory a good kicking
