Bad news: NHS privatisation soars as private companies win 70 per cent of clinical contracts
I would also question the procedure that awards contracts to these firms. Private companies are known for cutting corners, not quality of care.
NHS spending on care provided by private companies has jumped by £700m to £3.1bn with non-NHS firms winning almost 70 per cent of tendered contracts in England last year.
Private care providers were awarded 267 out of a total of 386 contracts made available in 2016-17, including the seven highest value opportunities, worth £2.4bn.
Richard Branson’s Virgin Care scooped a record £1bn worth of contracts last year, meaning the company now has over 400 separate NHS contracts, making it the dominant private provider in the NHS market.

I sincerely hope there is someone out there putting ideas and plans together for NHS part 2 as I think they have already destroyed this one. Politicians have found it far too easy to meddle with and distort both the NHS and education and have nearly destroyed both. Whatever they hoped to achieve, they have destroyed their seat of power very effectively. They may have been hoping for a bigger pond to play in but they have made a small mud puddle.
How the heck will Jeremy sort this mess out once in power ?
The Reinstatement Bill, people really do not know that the Tories abolished the NHS with Lansleys Bill, the reinstatement bill will effectively renationalise the NHS and incorporate social care into it at a stroke.
We must now resign ourselves to the fact that the Tories deceived even their voters by lying that they were not privatising the NHS, the BBC are also complicit in lying to our people, as I belive they have known all along what the these treacherous creatures have been doing, in fact the continue to deny the Tories are privatising it.
When we look back on all the barefaced lies perpetrated by people in the media against their fellow citizens, it makes you wonder how low they have to stoop before realising they too are members of the society they are creating.
Nye Bevan said the Tories are Vermin, I really don’t know a better word that encapsulates this low form of life that will end up metaphorically eating their own children.
Real power rests with the many not the few, we must use that power when the time comes and drive this vile government out of office, noting that people like this must never be allowed to dictate the way they have done, from the privatisation of our NHS to Fracking; destroying the very ground we walk on.
