One-trick Tories: If at first you don’t smear Jeremy Corbyn…
It seems the Conservatives are try, try and trying again to lie convingly about the Labour leader.
Ben Bradley’s attempt failed so dramatically, his apology is – at the time of writing – the most re-tweeted post on Twitter in 2018 so far, having been forwarded more than 50,000 times.
Yesterday evening it was Jacob Rees-Mogg’s turn. On Channel 4 News, he dutifully told the nation that Mr Corbyn had voted against the Good Friday Agreement that brought peace after the so-called “Troubles” that had disturbed the UK for nearly 30 years.

As you can imagine, the luminaries of Twitter had pre-sharpened their knives for this one:
I’m sure @Jacob_Rees_Mogg will be tweeting an apology to @jeremycorbyn tonight for saying on Channel 4 news Corbyn voted against the Good Friday Agreement when it’s a matter of record he voted for it! A donation to a charity of Mr Corbyn’s choice would also be most welcome pic.twitter.com/qGxPQXIl5G

Jacob Rees-Mogg just wrongly said Corbyn voted against the Good Friday Agreement.
That's as bad as Corbyn saying Mogg voted to strip cancer patients of £30 a week, or against an investigation into a war that killed 1m people.
Oh no, wait, Mogg did actually vote for these things

Jacob Rees-Mogg said on Channel 4 news tonight that Jeremy Corbyn voted against the Good Friday Agreement, when in fact he voted for it! I am sure the newly formed intrepid Tory #fakenews unit will swing into action, investigate and then correct this mistake? Oh wait…….

I wonder how long it will be before Mr Rees-Mogg hears from Mr Corbyn’s representatives?

Jacob Rees Mogg is most immoral MPs in the Commons and completely shameless hypocrite and represent everything I hate about Tories. Not just that constant line over tax evasion is fine for the rich and how the lowest paid workers are better off with Conservatives in power! He claims now that Jeremy Corbyn voted against the Good Friday agreement when he actually voted in favour of the 1998 GFA which has brought peace to Northern Ireland fior 20 years. He know wants to throw all that away for the sake of a Hard Brexit with no free trade deal with the EU or in a customs union. A reckless gamble with our jobs and economy that Tory Brexiteers are pushing Theresa May into, but one which doesn’t have the support of many MPs in Parliament.
Non compos mentis Rees-Mogg.
Lies, Fraud, Lies, Fraud and more Lies and Fraud. It’s all the Tories have.
Never trust the nouveau riche

Very nice, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. Labour’s anti-terrorism laws were draconian restrictions on liberty that could not be justified.
